i feel like the sweep-scan might've been better if it were also randomly displaced so it wasn't just making bar-lines; just side to side probably since it does go vertical, but still displaced that way. the mod is absolutely fantastic with lots of possibility, and if it were possible to implement noise-making like broken glass on the ground it could be possible to use a warden to truly lean into the sound-following monster aspect (notably though i do not know how difficult it'd be to do either of those things since i haven't learned coding; these're suggestions of a dreamer :P)

This is some really neat coding work! 7:30 It's cool that you disabled movement... but why _did_ you go through that effort? The original Scanner Sombre let you screw up the pattern of the sweep by moving around, and that worked fine. :P

I actually had an idea for a mod like this (and I think even commented on one of your videos about it a while ago) except it was more like echolocation and based on sound (so each footsteps would produce a wave to show you what's around but it would fade quickly afterwards). The player starts off with iron armor, and a crowbar. There is now game over music that plays as menu music because the world is already destroyed. The rest is up to you, Fundy.

In most of the similar games, the dots would disappear either after enough time has passed, or when too many dots have been instantiated, sometimes both. That way, the player's game wouldn't lag heavily. Obviously, Fundy doesn't need to keep that in mind, especially since: it's Minecraft, which isn't taxing on a computer; it only draws dots at a certain resolution, rather than the dots being able to get as small as possible; and it's only going to be played by Fundy and Philza, both of whom are guaranteed to have very fast computers.
