One thing you might want to consider what I've found from Van/RV camping is... in older towns with older infrastructure the roads can be very bowed. Their repaved so much over the decades that when your parked on the side of the road for the night, your vehicle is tipped toward the curb at a very high angle - like 7 - 10° even. The lack of a level bed or floor causes lack of sleep (continually sliding into the wall at night) and often extreme frustration and exaustion. So, might want to consider installing Air Shocks on the bus if it doesn't have them on all wheels! The same airshocks on L.A. Latino gangster Chevy Impala's. Each shock can independently lift each corner of the vehicle up and level the floor, no matter how extreme the directional tilt is, at inevitable random locations on the road. This is an overlooked, and very nessesary asset for long distance excursions. And also, violent shaking of the bus' interior on bumpy, or dirt roads won't be an issue at all.

I as always terrible at sewing and as for sewing machines. I could never remember how to thread them no matter how many times mum showed me. I even sewed the sewing machine over my skin and had a neat row of stitches on my skin. I remember that, but not how on earth I manage it. Mum always did sewing for me because it was so much easier than trying to teach me.
