I always find myself coming back to this series. The atmosphere of the videos is so inviting, and Chris is certainly someone who has been around the flippers all his life. He always has great tales to tell about the machines! He should consider rebooting this series now that his collection has seen major changes since 2011! Fantastic videos, Chris!

I once tilted a game, everything shut down and went silent, and the ball drained away. Then Rudy reprimanded me: "Hey, it's only a game." It made my blood run cold.

I LOVE pinball machines! They are such a beautiful work of engineering and art, full of dazzling colors, lights and action! Eye candy! All the crazy sounds and little music bits are so much fun too!
@wendi-bnkywuv Жыл бұрын
To think originally they were wooden boxes with nothing but a plunger, marble sized balls, and tiny pegs. I got to play a Bagatelle Bingo, and it was like going back in time. Then someone (or a group of people) thought of the pinball we have today, with all of that engineering.

Just wanted to point out that if anybody wanted to play some of the games Chris is reviewing there's a game called 'pinball hall of fame: the williams collection' out that has 'whirlwind', 'taxi', 'funhouse', 'mideival madness', and 'no good gofers'. I tried it out solely based on these pinball reviews, and have been really enjoying it.

I played some pinball titles in the 80's. But Funhouse is when it offically turned from casual into an obsession. 'I'm going to the arcade' turned into "i'm going to play pinball'. I started seeking pins in 7-11s and pizza places. Williams kept a steady stream of incredible titles on the ready. Addams came out I thought my head would explode. I can play them at home, but playing in the wild when they were new and innovative is an experience hard to convey unless you were there. Take care,

Today I downloaded a free Pinball simulator on my Xbox One, and I got to play a beautifully put together digital version of this amazing machine. I know it's utter sacrilege, but it's so well put together, the sounds are all there and it's probably the closest I'll ever get to playing this piece of my childhood again.

Great machine, great review! Yeah maybe you do repeat yourself often about where you played your machines but its actually good to hear. The background history and your relationship with the machines is one of the main reasons I watch your pin clips. I never actually played any pinball machines growing up (being born in 1990) but I'm quite the fanatic now I actually see them for what they are. Great games! Thanks again Chris.

FunHouse and Addams Family are my two favorite pinball machines 1) because they are fun, and 2) when I was a kid in Albuquerque, my dad who has since passed away, would take me to the movies and we would go to the arcade next to the theater before the movie started and he’d give me $5 of $10. I’d go play NBA Jam or Mortal Kombat, he’d go play pinball. Eventually, I started playing too and realized this pinball machine was awesome.

Another awesome video. Thank you for your effort. There was a tiny pinball-arcade in the building where I used to live. Even though they had Funhouse I never played it. I was very poor at the time and I was enormously fond of Monster Bash. Whenever I had a handful of coins to spare; it went right into Moster Bash. Can't say that I regret missing out on that game because I cherish those memories just as they are. Pinball is dead in Sweden however so I'll probably never get the chance to play it

My all-time favorite pin. At one time I had all four high scores on the machine at my favorite arcade in Hamilton, NJ. The thing I loved was when the machine would sing after a high score was achieved. Wish there was a video of that. It was rare to make that machine sing. The one and only Best Pinball Machine of all time. I followed the one in my town around also. When I found it I was a regular wherever it went. Last place it wound up (that I could find) was a head shop/record store. Only money I spent there was a quarter at a time. They had pinball machines in the store where Mom worked. My fav was Ballys Fireball when Funhouse replaced it I was pissed till my first play and I hit Rudy in the mouth. I laughed so hard the ball dropped and I didn't even mind. I could have bought that machine with all the quarters I dropped in it. Wish I had.

@Elevendy5Productions Ha ha. Well....the extra ball light could be a lot of things (faulty bulb socket, bad bulb, flaky wiring to the socket). You might just have to do some tracing and see if you have a bad connection to it down the line somewhere. You know? As for the ball getting stuck, I had the "same" issue with mine until I picked up the replacement ramp. But, maybe take some metal "washers" and put them under the screws toward the top to "raise" the ramp a bit?

@djchozen91 For search purposes I like to put the name of the game "first" in the KZbin Title Description because (depending on what browser you are using to watch KZbin) I have noticed that the full title often gets cut off. However I do play (and have become kind of addicted to) Pinball FX 2 on the Xbox 360 Live Arcade. I would consider myself an above average player (only just).
