During the into I instantly thought of the song- I Don't Wanna Lose Your Love The Emotions - I think this song is a great bass song !. I love how smooth it is like, all low end ...it's great brother !. Why does nobody know this song, when it may be the best bass ever ?. I don't even know who played it, but I like them. Keep grooving Federico !. I like your style of playing bass too, thanks for reminding us how to maximize our playin with fewer notes, Funk is a great example. People who like to groove, but you need to learn how to play like Federico here ?. So why not just play 1969-79 music it's all similar ?. You can play a pentatonic scale over literally every song from this era, it's going to sound good if you can pull off a solo. I think in a few years time you can learn to cover ALL these songs at once, they start blending and going together eventually, this is exactly what Vulf does now, they learned from the great ones. Sometimes I remind myself of Joe Dart a little, we have a very similar style, he's just better than me !. I am still going to improve a lot more though, some people don't actually have a ceiling, they are slow learners who always keep learning, this is me. Time to appreciate old people in music, age is seriously not important. If someone sends you a tape who's age 65, I don't really care about the number, I care what they sound like. I never cared about age of a musician, not even at age 15. But I don't see more than 4-5 old people making any music anymore, besides the Rolling Stones and Lee Sklar, why not ?. Joe Bonamassa recently got a 60 year old bassist to play with him, sounds good !. You can memorize 85-96 notes, it's not a unreasonable deal to figure out the entire fret board eventually in 10 years time, just takes work. As long as you keep improving, practicing then eventually you will be 2 of 2 things really OLD and really GOOD !. Just improve a little every day, improve your ear, eventually you will be rocking, you will learn how to play whatever you want, because we live a long time. Everyone likes their own music, NOW...what do you guys like these days ?.
