Im a 30 yr old mixed man and this was bumping in the 90s too and still is and yes I know this is a 70s song. But I still love these guys I put them up there with James Brown , Rick James, Sly stone. earth wind and fire, the temptations, Jimi Hendrix, Kool and the Gang, Ohio Players, Curtis Mayfield, the Isley Brothers, Rufus & Chaka Khan, Bootsy Collins, The Brothers Johnson, Stevie Wonder, War, Prince , The Jackson's had some funk music too in the 70s. This 30 yr old knows what's up growing up black back in the days was fun. Especially since evertime we'd get together there'd be some kind of good African-American music doesn't matter what the genre was. Like it could be soul blues r&b funk hip hop jazz and even some rock music and country music. Because theirs black folks that make that kinda music too even back in the day. Like Charlie pride and Ray Charles for country music and you had Little Richard, Chuck Berry, bad Brains, living colour, Hootie & the Blowfish and Darius Rucker would end up doing country music later on in his career.
