This is also one of my favorite lights. Funny story for me as well. I left mine in the back of a customer's vehicle. It had been about 2 years or so and the vehicle finally made it back to my dealership. Lo and behold. The flashlight was still there in the same spot untouched. Glad to have gotten it back and not had to buy a new one.

@jeffreyolson I had a similar incident, but with a Snap-On brake bleeder wrench. Customer came back to the dealership a few months later for an oil change and I found my bleeder wrench still sitting on a front brake caliper bleeder screw! How it never fell off I still don't understand.

Hey, I'm gonna side with the forklift driver on this one. If I find a 10mm 6 point socket on one of my bolts or nuts, I'm gonna thank God for the gift and fill that empty spot on my socket holder

I bought one of these recently. It makes a great light for power outtages also if you are in one of those places where you lose power a lot. The magnet on the back is legit- I've stuck it onto a wire mesh fence and even with the minimal contact it was still strong enough to hold up the light. Love it. Thanks!

Actually one of my favourites. I think it's a little thirstier than I'd like it to be but it's very lumen dense so tradeoffs are gonna happen. And yes, the light feels daylight enough that I have left it stuck to things thinking it was not there, and have had to buy it twice.

@@UnhumanNewman 6 yes. I'll usually get a few hours of use. But I will also point out that it is a very early unit. It's always possible they revised the circuitry and drivers and whatever version you can get off the shelf now is much more efficient.

'LoStolen' tools are a huge problem and a pet peeve (for probably just about everyone in the trades). I knew a guy that was kinda forgetful, but also so hated that any tool he left sitting out on some jobsites for more than a few hours would 'walk away' that he took to painting his tools florescent pink.(Even the yellow ones.)... Which helped- they didn't disappear as often, and were easily identifiable when they did. Anyway, IMO, taking tools that are left laying around, the LoStolen problem, is kinda (exactly) like stealing a person's paycheck, eh? Knock it off! (You know who you are...) Cheers. Edit- I like how trustworthy and clear these reviews seem to be. Better than most, anyway.

@bholdr----06 ай бұрын
@@SM-bk4ye uhhh... Do you mean YOUR tools are safe over those lengths of time? ...Must be nice: Well, really, I suppose what I said depends on the kind of site and tools in question- When working alone for a homeowner in a good part of town, I'm usually happy to leave some of my stuff (say, a set out ladders) outside, unlocked, lyong next to backyard fence overnight... But (and this probably goes without saying) I would NOT leave even a clapped out (yellow) DeFault cordless driver alone in a well-traveled area for thirty minutes on a big site where dozens/hundreds of people in various trades are in-and-out. But, like I said, even in that Black-Hole-for-Tools 'LoStolen' kinda situation, my forgetful pal's pink-painted gear basicly never seemed to 'walk away' on its own overnight, eh? (And I NEVER leave tolls where stilt-walkers are working! Haha... kidding!).

For me, it was always worth paying a premium price for a premium light... until I did some painful math and had to admit: If it's cordless, attaches magnetically, and is useful in places like ceilings and crawlspaces, I will lose it within a couple of months of normal use. Even as I write, there are probably half of a dozen quality flashlights and flood lights I've owned that are living out their long years of warranty coverage above a drop ceiling somewhere! Back to the free-with-coupon Harbor Freight drop lights for me 😢

As someone who is deep into the world of flashlights, everything from the tiny gt nano, up to the ms18 to the gt4 to the zoomies of the zoomies the z1… I don’t understand why they call floodlights spotlights… it’s not a spotlight… it’s a floodlight.. it’s weird.. don’t call it what it isnt.
@andrewmkish6 ай бұрын
It lights up the entire “spot” you’re working in? 🤷♂️ I agree. Strange terminology.
@bholdr----06 ай бұрын
@@andrewmkish Actually, 'floodlight' is also a misuse of the original term 'Flood-Light', which was originally given that name because of the early arc lights that were used by boats during the very common floods of the 1880s- in order to find and help rescue survivors and stranded people along the Mississippi River when it flooded! (Nah, I'm full of crap/ just kidding!!) I'd assume it was because they 'flood' an area with light, eh? ...Though it would be funny if my foregoing ironic joke was actually the case!)
@AverageReviewsYT6 ай бұрын
@@andrewmkish a spot light light would be more of a focused beam… used for lighting up a more precise spot, and would have a decent candela. This is a work space light which is made to flood over a fairly large area with light… with less candela. Not even an optic of reflector, which for this type of light would not be desirable.
