You played the Funko ad exactly when I opened Plants Vs Zombies and I thought the game was playing that music and I didn’t know what the hell was happening

I've heard a rumor that the reason Funko doesn't make characters like the Withered animatronics is because they're considered "too scary to be marketable". And yet they'll market the hell out of the Nightmare characters. I think they forgot that Freddy's is *supposed* to be unironically unnerving and not "spooky kids stuff". That, or it's because their Withered Bonnie stuff didn't sell well, but that's their own fault for making him an exclusive everywhere else. The reason the Nightmares sold well was because they were continuously marketed in main waves. Why do they keep putting the stuff people actually want as exclusives (if it's not some Special Delivery skin nobody asked for)? Unless they're PURPOSEFULLY sabotaging themselves so they can pull a bullshit excuse and say that their scary stuff doesn't sell well because they don't want to tarnish their brand.. But then again these clowns have several other horror licenses so.. I dunno, maybe they just don't understand who the market for FNAF merch is. Maybe they're just run by boomer dumbasses who think "Animals aren't meant to be spooky, but they're a part of a spooky game, so just make the designs super cute and market it with a jumpscare and glitchy effect to make them think we care and ship it out to whoever will receive it!" Honestly, relying on third party companies to make better merch isn't a new concept for me, having grown up in the Transformers community, so I'm actually glad Xsmart is stepping up and delivering for us where Funko won't. It's still depressing, though, how the master company either doesn't understand Freddy's or just doesn't give a shit anymore. I don't blame Scott for losing track of them either, he's got his own life to take care of and no time to deal with Funko or Just Toys's fuck-ups. If anything, he's probably paying more mind to Hex and YouTooz atp because they're making much better merch atm than Funko has in the past 2 years (although the Springtrap remake and Firework Freddy were pretty good, just wish I could have gotten my hands on them because my Walmart never got them for some reason.)

Travis went HARD on FUNKO this time around and I 100% agree. Nightmare chica? The withered animatronics? Shadow Bonnie? Fredbear? Nightmare and Nightmare Fredbear??? Yenndo??? Bon Bon?????? GLITCHTRAP AND SCRAP BABY AND MOLTEN FREDDY AND SCRAPTRAP???? It’s INSANE that so many wonderful characters don’t exist as plushies yet!! I won’t even get the Christmas wave myself because it just feels wrong when my money could go towards the Xsmart withered plushies which look fantastic!

I think I know why theirs 2 foxy’s in this wave. So I think they had already made Santa Freddy, elf Bonnie, snow Chica, and nutcracker foxy but they needed one more character to be an exclusive. And i feel like they made gingerbread foxy because they thought the candy Caine hook was really creative. And they didn’t wanna redesign nutcracker foxy to be toy foxy, golden Freddy, or Springtrap (nutcracker springtrap would be really cool in my opinion because I think it fits his “style “) but Funko were too lazy to redesign him. Or I’m completely wrong and they made 2 because he’s a fan favorite Anyway I think funko is dog shit and they should start getting to work on those withered action figures before they even think about doing the “black and white fnaf wave” for money
