Those are super compact for what they are. They are not intended for the "hobbyist" mobile dj that plays for friends and at small parties. It is pro gear for pro users.

We psytrance DJ's have been chasing around and playing on these for years.
@AB-80X5 жыл бұрын
It's not like anyone else in both live audio and the dj scene hasn't. The psytrance scene is not unique for its use of F1.

These are ridiculous speakers. Who is their target demo? Certainly not mobile DJ's.
@AB-80X5 жыл бұрын
First off, they are by no means ridiculous. The F221 and F121 has been extremely popular with mobile dj's for the past 10 years. The F124 is now catching up. These are now being rented out for or ordered by mobile dj's. Secondly. The Evo 7/Evo 6 is not a very heavy speaker at all, and in terms of basic practicality it most definitely competes with anything on the market. As for the demographic. If you by mobile dj mean someone who plays at least once per weekend, do events of more than 50-100 people and also rent out the gear etc, basically an actual professional mobile dj whos equipment sees use a few times a week, yes, the Evo series, and the BR and F series 18, 21 and 24 lows is most certainly a big part of that demographic. If you by mobile dj mean someone who's doing it occasionally for friends and at small parties, a hobbyist if you like, then no and it was never intended to be. As far as the main demographics go, it has nothing to do with dj's. It's for touring and clubs, live as well as dj's. From anywhere from 200 people to 10000+. It's not for the amateur who likes to have fun dj'ing here and there. It a pro audio system intended for pro use. They will probably have as big an impact on both the club scene as well as on the arena and stadium scene as the F221 bins had when they were released. The company I freelance for as a tech and rigger, has already sold off 28 of their F221 bins and have taken delivery of 16 of these so far, with another batch of 20 comming in within the next week or so. Those F124 boxes will be everywhere within the next year, and EAW, JBL and L'Acoustics are once again kicking themselves as they thought they had finally caught up. What's really neat about the F124 is how compact it actually is. It provides more SPL with better low end extension than an F221, but it weighs less and takes up less space. It's a brilliant low.
