Which version of the original did you transcribe? I got the HH-opening always one sixteenth note behind the snare (2e and 4e), and the tempo from 93 (start of tune) to 95 bpm end of tune (where James is giving the drummer some).

It's not always just 'e'-s. He varies the groove during the song and in the actual drum break the first open hat is on the 'a' of 2, sometimes it's both 'e's and 'a's. Even with transcriptions I like to take away a concept not only one drum beat. This concept of focusing on tapping the pedal rather than opening it on 16th note upbeats instantly made this groove flow much better for me.
