In this episode of Wisconsin Foodie, Host Luke Zahm travels to Milwaukee to meet TrueMan McGee at the Sherman Phoenix food hall. TrueMan is the owner of Funky Fresh and has been a long time tenant at the Sherman Phoenix. TrueMan and Luke taste through a variety of unique dishes offered at the Sherman Phoenix while talking about the cultural importance of the food hall in the Sherman Park community. We return one year later to check in with TrueMan to find out that he has developed a partnership with Palermo Pizzeria to help market and distribute his frozen spring rolls to a larger market. Luke travels to Palermo to meet owner Giacomo Fallucca and hear the story of how their frozen pizza started in a small family restaurant in Milwaukee, to now become a leader in the industry.
