I was disappointed with this season of Scandal. It was all about twist after twist, but it felt empty and contrived. They clearly wanted to pull on emotions with some of these deaths. They did it with James. He was a real character that we cared about. We saw how that hurt Cyrus. But with Lil' Fitz, I really couldn't have gave less than a damn. We didn't even know that little boy. He was brought in simply to have another dramatic death but even his parents didn't seem too pressed about it. No one cared about Harrison's girl friend getting killed. If you are going to kill off characters, make sure people give a crap. Personally, it would have been more impactful if Daddy Pope kicked the bucket. OR JAKE. Ever since he hit the show, it has been stale and boring.

c8701 the only show I have seen that can kill off a lot of characters and still keep trucking is Game of Thrones but that is because they have a zillion characters and subplots. Even then they make you care about the character before they behead em or something. With any other show, it just gets old.

I honestly fell asleep watching the finale. When I woke up, Mama Pope was in a hole in the ground and Olivia was on a jet so I don't know WTF went on. But overall Shonda needs to get it together next season, the writing went into disarray in the episodes after that overly long azz hiatus. And Harrison will definitely be killed off next season and he won't be missed just like Stephen from season 1. His character was boring, generic, and served no purpose.

I think knowing Kerry Washington is pregnant and they was going to have to give her maternity leave we all knew where this was heading as far as her making her semi grand exit from OPA.
