Dino and Nelson knew that Hoan's moves are better than Sonic, but if you pay attention, Hoan started to be off beat during the second round. at 3min50 He had to accelerate his moves to catch, but unfortunately.......................off beat until the end. That's why they both said draw. Dancing is not only about how moves are great or not.

Of course they cheered for Sonic. Interesting if the crowd cheers for Miami Heat in LA when Heat plays against Lakers. Do people in UK cheer for NELSON AND FRANQEY as they do for Dickson and Brooke? Go and check JD videos. Hoan is dope, and he is quite popular in China after his great battle against Hozin in KOD7. BUT OBVIOUSLY he went off-beat in the second song, and that was the main reason he lost. His technique is unparalled, honestly, but you don't usually see him miss THAT much of nuiance in a battle, and add THAT much of extra moves while music hits nothing . DS is always biased towards him. Even common Chinese poppers don't understand Sonic's musicality until KOD9. Sonic battled so "weakly" against France in team battles because as many have pointed out, he doesn't "pop" a lot. In KOD7 and KOD8 he lost twice against nelson in top 8 and 16. In KOD8 he got "one more" from Jr boogaloo and Acky, but Pete gave it to Nelson. Pete himself even said Sonic danced well in that round. Anyway, many people thought Hoan would have been the champion because he shocked everyone from the beginning of mass-election, top 32, top16, top8 in which he somehow killed Luffy at once... 2013 was Hoan's year, no doubt about that.

Actually it's a location based thing. KOD takes place in China and Sonic is from Taiwan, so they are extremely supportive of locals. If you notice the difference between KOD 7 and 8, then 8 and 9, you will notice there are less people in the crowd each time. The second song doesn't have a clear popping beat, honestly I feel like Hoan was far better, then again I wasn't there.

you ever wonder why the crowd cheer for sonic more than hoan ? I think, IMO, sonic dance with his heart, and he really felt the music. Hoan is a little bit off beat on the 2nd round, and he just too busy showing his skill that he forgot to dance...although hoan's skill is better, this is "keep on dancing", a dance competition, not a skill competition.

To be honest, they cheer more for him cus hes chinese lol. I actually would disagree with u, i thought Hoan killed it with great musicalty, top level performance and yeah Sonic was feeling it but he has virtually no "pop" here so if u wanna say he outdanced Hoan in a "popping" battle i would disagree. He has great feel and musicality too but i thought a weaker performance :p. Good battle to watch tho ^^ we can disagree with a decision bt it dosnt mean we are right, thts what people shud remember
