Just a regular home cook, how i get batter into a bag: use a large cup, put bag in with one of the corners pointing toward the bottom of the cup. Roll the excess bag/opening of the bag down over the sides of the cup so the bag is lining the inside of the cup. Then pour the batter into the bag.. Not sure if that description is good enough for you to visualize it, but hopefully?

getting batter/frosting/meringue into a bag: Get a large cup, set aside. Fold over the ziploc part 2x to keep the bag from overfilling and the outside clean. Put one corner at the bottom of the cup and fold the opening of the bag over the edges of the cup. The cup acts like a third hand and gives your bag a place to sit without spilling everywhere until you're ready to use it. You can then treat the gallon bag as if it's a piping bag and twist the top to keep the batter from spilling out. Signed, an amateur home cook who never remembers to buy piping bags (note: this is for the sake of fellow audience members, i'm sure josh was joking)

3:02 a good way to get batter into a bag is you open the bag and place the corner of it (the corner you want to snip the tip off of) into a large tall cup and then fold any parts of the bag that don’t fit over the edge of the cup and then scoop the batter into the bag. Once you have the amount of batter you would like in the bag just remove the bag from the cup and snip the tip 😊
