Subsistence basically extends your clip when your getting kills. It doesn’t keep you from reloading obviously but you get more shots/kills before having to reload. Which on an smg where extended mag perks give you like an extra 3 bullets it’s pretty good. Especially after they buffed for certain guns awhile back, autos and smgs among them. Subsistence and overflow have become my favorites for these guns since the feeding frenzy change

Use Volatile Flow with Well of Tenacity, Harmonic Siphon, Font of Might, Elemental Ordnance, and Reaping Wellmaker. Constant explosions from Volatile rounds, its busted with Funnelweb, and especially on Hunter Scrub made a video explaining the build

Most of the veist weapons are named after venomous animals. Recluse, Funnelweb, Man O’ War (anyone remember thing), Death Adder, Tarantula etc. It’s not all of them but more than not use that naming scheme.

It’s so nice to have good SMG’s in all the elements now. Funnelweb, Mini Tool, Ikelos, Submission, and Prolonged Engagement. Prolonged is gonna get a bit of a nerf along with all stasis weapons and getting the right roll is tough since there’s 12 perks per column and the stats are bad as base so you’ll also need good barrel and mag options and maybe a good masterwork but it’s pretty farmable and once Vanguard ranks are reset you can get multiple perks in each column up to 3 each column. I snagged a decent roll with Killing Wind and Frenzy and it’s like a stasis Funnelweb. The Submission is just a joy to use and will only be getting better in Lightfall.

Subsistence+Frenzy is better than Perpet. Motion IF you have Flared Magwell. Since Frenzy gives 50 reload, flared magwell makes you have 51 reload w/o frenzy, and you have 100 with frenzy. So you might as well need to reload less on top of your light speed reloads at the same time. But if you don't run flared magwell then subsistence is a personal preference thing.

I have been rocking with tactical mag for a long time and I also say subsistence is better than perpetual. I have both rolls but I just prefer subsistence and frenzy absolutely takes care of reload. My roll has 44 reload with tactical mag. I have multiple rolls with both subsistence and perpetual. Neither is bad but I definitely like subsistence much more. Just seems to be nicer overall even in hard content when it’s not proc’d that often. In that same content perpetual motion would most likely not be proc’d either. I’ve got almost 16k kills on my subsistence, frenzy main roll. Despite having mini tool and Ikelos both crafted I still would say the funnelweb is my favorite.
