Cal Worthington. Every car price ends in 95. How would you like to be the guy who had to make up all those prices and put them on the cars? Bring Charlie Miller a bottle of aspirin, huh? I live in KC and I forgot about Ol' Shep at Boots Williams. What I also forgot is Boots Williams is the other guy, not the guy with the beard in the cowboy hat. He's Colonel Billy. Sonny Hill needs to be on here too and I can't remember the guy who used to do his commercial from the roof of the dealership. Wow, a whole dollar from Glen Grant.

Man i wish we had this in the UK at the time....well even now would be cool! Does this kind of ad still happen in the USA today? Or is it totally stale....?!
@KITTYMANYA10 ай бұрын
it still happens in the USA but its less common and everyone is trying to beat the others in creativity so you get some wacky stuff haha

It’s been a long time since I saw Mel Farr Superstar. Appliance dealers had even crazier ads. Manufacturers now give dealers coop advertising money to produce local spots. Because of that, they have a lot of control over the commercial’s content. Not too many would be approve “Crazy Jim” style ads. Used car dealers can do what they want, but I haven’t seen too many memorable spots lately. The best satire of the genre was Kurt Russel’s commercial in “Used Cars.” kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKKri4qae7usr7Msi=fs8U_Uv5r19mIe22
