Yeah, seems to be a Sinrunner bug of sorts. Maybe something to do with his coding of reviving with all Enchantments ensures, accidentally, that he revives, even if he's 8th+ minion on the board, as it only ever happened with Sinrunner. Still, it sucks that it literally lost games for people who went against such a bug.

It's clear that Battlegrounds does not yet support hero cards. But if I'm going to be honest, the system tolerated it surprisingly well. It did keep crashing, but it also kept coming back and presenting him with a playable and roughly correct game state. He just kept getting armor every turn for some reason; that and the crash were the only recurring bugs. Even the behavior of gold was correct, working like Guff (but IDK why it gave him +8 max gold to begin with). I think this proves the robustness of the engine, since it can continue to run even in totally impossible states.

I don't know any of the details, but here is a plausible explanation for what I could see. When he used I Spy, for some reason the Discover mechanic drew from garbage data. Maybe it was a buffer overflow, or maybe the data was corrupted due to a synchronization error, or maybe a lot of other things. It could even be a hardware problem like a bad sector. So instead of giving three correct choices, it gave three cards with nonsense parameters. One of them was a hero card, and he played it. Battlegrounds uses most of the same code as constructed, and hero cards mostly work. However, because the recruit stage doesn't exist in constructed and was not designed for a hero that changed during the game, something went wrong and it crashed whenever it tried to load. But the host server, which doesn't have to handle graphics or many other things that may have caused the crash, continues to play without issue. The two other bugs to explain are the mana/gold and the increasing armor/negative damage. I don't know why the mana tray increases to 18; if mana tray size were a property of a hero, then you would think switching to a different hero after Guff would reduce your tray back down to 10. But maybe the size of a mana tray can increase but never decrease or something, idk. The "negative damage" seems to actually be the result of him gaining a large amount of armor every time the battle phase loads, probably the same (arbitrarily large) amount he got to begin with. Then he takes damage, so the game records that he lost and when calculating how much damage he took, subtracts his HP+armor before the fight from after and gets a positive result.

07:56, my guess is that the discover options were 2 of putricide's custom undead and 1 skeleton from the Grim Necromancer. However, since Blizzard is a small indie game company, they didn't have the budget to properly code the interactions of purticide's custom minions with other heroes' hero powers (just like what happened at the clip in 04:24 with Master Nguyen's hero power), so instead the discover options somehow defaulted to Hearthstone's second single player Adventure: "Blackrock Mountain" (You can tell because Lord Victor Nefarius is the 13th boss of Blackrock Mountain, while "Blood Affliction: Blue" is a special card given to you by the 12th boss, Chromaguss.). In the adventure, Lord Victor Nefariu's hero power is to transform into Nefarian, and it just so happens that Nefarian was also a hero in Battlegrounds. So the reason why Nefariu's hero power worked was because there was already existing data for Nefarian. However, the effects of the transformation in the adventure carried over to Battlegrounds. You see, when Nefarius transforms into Nefarian his health is set at 30, he gains 30 armor and his hero power becomes: "Wild Magic, put a random spell from your opponent's class into your hand" (just like what happened at the clip). His mana is also set to 10 which somewhat explains why his gold went from 9 to 18. Although there was existing data for Nefarian, there was no existing data for "Wild Magic" since he had a different hero power in Battlegrounds (in case you are wondering his battlegrounds hero power is "Nefarious Fire"), thus the game crashed. And when the game reloaded, his transformation effect somehow stacked which allowed him to gain additional armor.

LMAO with the I Spy bug. Looks like a buffer overflow? For some reason, the discover wasn't looking at the table of cards for the next opponent's warband but from some location with garbage data. Or maybe the next warband data just got corrupted? Something like that. It makes sense that the uncollectible hero card costs 0; I think they're all like that. And since you can't normally play hero cards in Battlegrounds, I guess everything else was just a side effect of that. Hero cards can give you armor when you play them and can modify your mana tray (both current and max). I don't know why people started hitting you for negative damage, though. Maybe the hero armor kept getting reapplied every time you went to the tavern, and the damage you took was just subtracted from that.

hmm... looks like checking if there's enough board space to resolve deathrattles happens for one minion at a time, before the summons actually happen, so when a cleave kills multiple deathrattle/reborn minions at the same time, all three of them check if each of them have board space to resolve... interesting

Это босс нефариан из приключения "черная гора". И абилка оттуда же. Всё, что есть в игре - это карты, чисто технически. В том числе и герои и абилки героя. Скаббс некоторое время мог раскопать вообще любую карту, которая есть в игре. В том числе из ладдера, в том числе что-то вот такое странное.

@@pavelt9574 ваще могу. Я недавно в потасовке, где нужно составить колоду из 2 карт, встретил чела с колодой ожог души за 0 маны и рука гулдана. Первая мысль - это читер. Но стоило немного пораскинуть мозгами, чтобы понять - он нашел какой-то способ засунуть в колоду потасовски версию ожога души из классической версии ХС с помощью бага. И я таки нашел этот способ) Думаю с нефарианом я подумал бы так же, за тем исключением, что способ такое провернуть мне пришлось бы гуглить. Сам я до этого бага не додумался бы.

Please label battlegrounds clips battlegrounds without a main series number so those of us who avoid battlegrounds content know to skip the video. Thx! (For reference: the main problem with Battlegrounds is how different of a game from constructed/arena HS it's become. Completely different cards and mechanics. That makes these clips very unwatchable if you don’t play/watch battlegrounds content on the regular. Alternatively, from the editing side you could add every card/hero and its text, so those of us who have never seen these cards before can have some context.)
