**ACTUALLY** if we do the maths, then we can see that it's not that improbable. A naive approximation yields the following : all 8 missiles need to miss, so (2/3)^8 ~= 3.9% chance. The problem though, is that it's inaccurate. Indeed, the taunt only has 6 health! It could die at the 6th, or 7th missile, which would in turn leave us with a 1/2 chance of hitting the wrong target, instead of 1/3. (he could also die at the 8th missile, but it doesn't impact our chances of not discarding the portal.) How many cases do we need to correct? Well, there's : - the case where we hit the taunt 6 times back to back without missing once. - the 6 case where we hit the taunt 6 times in 7 missiles, but not with the first 6 missiles. The probability ends up being : (2/3)^8 - [(1/3)^6 - (1/3)^7 * 6] -> we removed all the cases that we needed to correct where the taunt had died and where the last 2 / the last missile has a chance of 1/2 of hitting the wrong target instead of 1/3. (2/3)^8 - [(1/3)^6 - (1/3)^7 * 6] + [(1/3)^6*(1/2)^2 + (1/3)^7 * 6 *(1/2)] -> we added the corrected probability for the cases where the taunt had died. ~= 3.6% chance. So basically, the streamer had approximately a 1 in 27 chance of not discarding his portal.

The thing is, it seems to work in Rumble so far, you just can't expect it to discard what you want. But there's so many ways to optimize your discarding that it doesn't matter as much now, you just have to be careful with it and it'll go a long way

Targets are chosen randomly from a pool of valid targets. For the same reason Shadow Word: Pain wouldn't target something with >3 attack or a Zap! couldn't target face, the Shadow Word: Death couldn't target something that is untargetable.

The shadow word still says "target" even if it's played by Yogg or Zul'Jin, and that beast cannot be targeted by spells or abilities.
