Craig the Beagle Yep...the Cocker Spaniel couldn't be bothered....he just likes being beautiful, eating, and cuddling...he seems to require no more from life!! LOL But Amos (half Aussie Shepherd) LIVES for FUN!!! Now when Craig's video comes on...I say "AMOS!! DOG RUNNING!! BALL!!" and he pops his front legs up on my knee and I put the laptop on full screen for him....and pretend I'm throwing the ball!!! Much merriment!!! Craig is a VERY beautiful Beagle....and he's got a GOOD gig: I love it when people keep their Beagles active....it makes a world of difference. Keep having fun at the beach. Cheers!! ~~ RED ☮♡♫

Very cool. I just adopted a Beagle/Boxer mix and I see so much of my Honey in your dog. I've only had her for a week but we're going to the beach before we leave coastal GA, USA. I'm nervous about letting her off-leash but we have to find out sometime, how she'll be on just commands alone. She can't get hurt at the beach. Safe place.

Happy DOTD!!! Craig is so cute! I love Beagles! (Miss mine terribly; she passed away almost a year ago, at the tender age of 18. :-( ) Have to have knee surgery soon, so have held off getting a puppy until I'm finished with that. Give Craig a hug from me!

The sand flying in slow-mo was great! Craig is such a cutie! How do you manage to keep dog nose art off your windows?! I have nose art on my windows every time the girls go for a ride! It's mostly Misty's (older beagle) nose art than Ivy's (younger beagle) nose art. Poor Ivy gets overly excited about car rides and always vomits so her car rides are VERY limited; poor girl just can't help it that car rides are fun! :)

+Willow The Beagle Emergency recall training which you can do yourself. Pick a command that you'll only use if you can't get your dog to come back to you. I chose Holly now for mine. When you're at home or even better at a dog park use this command and every time your dog comes to you they get a real meat treat like pieces of chicken, steak, or even a small piece of a hotdog. I used rotisserie chicken for Holly. Put the treats in a sandwich bag if you're going to a dog park. Never use this command for anything else but in an emergency and especially never use it to call them over for anything that could be perceived as negative. And always give treats when training so that when their not coming back with a regular command they'll come back for the emergency recall command every time. Also, once you've got them trained you should reinforce the emergency recall training a couple times a year every year. You didn't say how old Willow was but if your dog is under two you might want to wait until Willow is, at least, a year in a half when adolescence is over before trying any off-leash adventures.

+wiredguytv i just use his regular harness, then have a small clip that acts as a seat belt that i attach :)

Don't get me wrong I loved the video. I just hate seeing overweight dogs. Especially beagle's since I have one myself. Keep exercising him and keep a close eye on how much he eats. And alway feed him less if you gave him a fair amount of treats that day.

+ohshelby Yes, he is overweight, and it could affect his health very adversely. I was going to say the same thing - this dog needs to lose some weight. He will feel all the better for it, if you just cut back on the kibble, maybe supplement with some raw veggies instead of kibble, and take off about 2 or 3 kilos. Otherwise, he's going to suffer from arthritis, other joint problems, and possibly even diabetes.
