This is nothing but a movie made up of one slapstick scene after another. Hilarious. You don't see stuff like this anymore because many of these actors came from Vaudville and early 1950's TV.

The slang that Dick Shawn uses is practically gibberish these days, which makes it even funnier. He deserved an Oscar for this scene. “You’re getting me-boy, are you bugging me, man! I’m gonna-when I get, I’m gonna nail-ooh, hoo, hoo-I’m getting bugged now! WHOA MAN!!!!”

I just love the cop's reaction in the next scene, "I've never seen anything like it...he just ran them off the road"

2:15 LOL, the way he said that and what he did while saying it😂😂😂 also at 00:17 I thought Russell was gonna hit him again while he wasn't looking

And it ended with the old classic car crash sound effect with the "UNK!" noise in it.

Even as a kid I could recognize that the blue Chevrolet going off the road and swerving back onto it was just filmed from two different viewpoints and used like it was two separate incidents. Of course I enjoyed the cars getting wrecked regardless. The stand-in stunt driver playing Sylvester took an actual beating without a seatbelt or headrest or airbag to protect him.

Agoura Rd. at Kanan Rd. in Agoura Hills. Great classic and funny movie but many close calls for the stuntpersons and cast.

for some reason this reminds me of a episode of family guy once. its called long john peter where a British man was delivering spices to a harbor before the day end and peter and his pirate crew was in the car and they drew out there swords and cannons and then peters car had sails on them and then more fighting. finally the British man lost the fight and sunk his car in the water.

Insurance was included back in those days, luckily for them. You didn't have to pay extra for it.
