Power honestly doesn’t go out often enough for this argument unless someone can’t pay the bill and it’s off often or for extended periods and in that case probably best not to invest in an automatic litter box. If the power goes out, just scoop like a regular box, or wait for the power to come back on. No biggie. 😂 I wouldn’t give up my litter robot for anything. Had it for more than 5 years and it has been life changing.

I clean it only one way - with manual push of the button. And smart wc helps to follow cats health if you have more than one cat. It's not lazy, to clean these things take way more time than simple box

All we have to do is add toilet sand (which the Neakasa app always reminds me of, and also reminds me when to throw away the garbage bag). That's all we do for now. Yes, when we didn't have this automated litter box we needed a lot of regular litter boxes because Simba didn't want to go after any of the other cats. Now we are very happy, because the cat's toilet is always clean and dry and there are no extraneous smells, and there is no need to collect their excrement 5-10 times a day with an ordinary spatula and smell it all. 😁

I easily trained my cat to use the little Turf tray usually for dogs in apartments. I kept in my bathtub, poo goes directly to the toilet and the tray and turf get washed when I shower. NO LITTER!

Let me tell you, I thought it was extra too but if you have a problem cat, you do things. I got this litter box last Prime day and I can’t say enough how much it’s made my life easier. I only have one senior cat but somehow before this, maintaining her litter box had become a nightmare. I tried everything, a dozen different kinds of litter, deodorizers, different liners.. it was always a total mess after just a few days, even with regular scooping. With this one the mess is contained and easily dealt with and I go through litter a lot more slowly. For those concerned about safety-my cat is very skittish so I made the decision before I even set it up to leave it on the manual cleaning setting; so I do a cleaning cycle when she’s not present. This eliminates the safety concern and the chance that my cat will be spooked by the automation. For me, one cleaning a day in the evening is all that’s required since it’s not in a high traffic area.
