My uncle has so much respect for him and introduces him to everybody and the kind of things that happen worried me. But my question is, what do you do for people who believe all this, that their family is against them? Because you can tell them as much as you want that all this is not true, but they will be convinced it is and will hate us for trying to contradict them. My mother has been in this situation for years now and I dont even know what to do for her because in her head, she is right and she believes in anything those people tell her.

irine2705 I think the best way to help her is to strengthen her faith in Allah SWT. She needs to find her own way by doing salat, and reading the Qur'an. It is those two things that give a person a sense of spirituality, and insha'allah, she will understand the message of Islam and how greater sacrifices in this life will lead to paradise. Maybe if you got her to watch this video, that could also work ;)

He's talking about certain people who claim they can cure you of illnesses and other things by getting you to do ridiculous things, such as the lemons and roses thing. It's not a common thing in western countries, however, where I come from, there are quite a few who claim to have healing powers, an alternative to what the doctors can offer you.
