@@lukazmak1957 he, by accident, laid down a good safety shot by missing the red ball in front of the pocket. In snooker, if both players agree, the ref can rerack the table which results in a restart of the frame. John Higgins asked his opponent, presumably as a joke in first place, if he wants a rerack, he said yes and Higgins showed a big amount of sportsmanship in agreeing, despite being in a favorable position. (excuse some spelling mistakes I might have made, not a native speaker^^)

10:17 TLDR He did have the advantage Steve, that's entirely the point! Davis' comments following this, about it not being in Higgins' favour to ask for a re-reack miss the point entirely. He asked for a re-rack because being 5-0 up he and having fluked the 'snooker' he wanted to be be extremely sporting and not take advantage. Okay you can say that you wouldn't be so sporting Steve, but his decision wasn't based upon strategy.

If I was Higgins in that last scenario I would have never suggested a rerack. The balls were open and it was a tough spot for Gilbert. It could have ended up being a stalemate but surely Higgins could have waited what Dave was going to play. Maybe John was thinking he might play a good shot and knock the red in and suggesting a rerack such quickly was a chance to get away with it once again.

There was an easy red, John tried to pot it using another red. He didn't but the white ball ended in a very weird position after his shot, when his opponent, Dave, was not able to see how he can pot that easy red using another red (since he could not see the red in the pocket directly). It was a tricky situation where Dave could not pot the easy red but at the same time was not able to quickly find a way to still make a shot and not let John sink the easy red afterwards. I know it sounds confusing, I'm sorry. So John offered a re-rack, which means that the frame starts from scratch and everything that happened before doesn't count.

Higgins tries to carom the red hanging over the bottom left pocket, but misses - then gets lucky by putting the cue ball in a place where Gilbert can't shoot at the ball he missed at. Higgins then jokingly offers a rerack (restart the frame and neither of them have to deal with the mess of playing around the red) which Gilbert accepts, much to the commentators' surprise.
