It was memorized by many different Sahaba and they collected all the verses under Leadership of uthman (RA) who memorized it completly too. But in surah An-Nahl verse 102 when Allah says "Say, [O Muhammad], "The Pure Spirit has brought it (Verses of Quran) down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims." Therefore we know that Rooh al-Qudus is Jibril (as) as he is the one who brought down the Quran to Muhammad (saw). Therefore when Allah says: "And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit." (2:87) it means that Allah sent down Jibril (as) to him (Isa (as))
