Literally watched this video yesterday. Was gonna go down to the comments but decided not to. About 20 minutes ago I'm reading this tweet about famous last celebrity tweets. I decide to look at it. I see Wittels. Name sounds familiar. Then I see the tweet. Okay, it's sad, the guy died. Then I saw the description of the guy and how he was a writer of Parks and Rec with regular appearances. My mind immediately went to this guy. I was like, there's no way. I just watched that video. I look up his name online. Dead. It kind of hits you. I didn't know this guy but his death just hit me hard. So young, and then you have these stars talking to him like nothing is wrong. They don't even know his life is coming to an end soon. He doesn't even know it. He just wants that promo. It's fucking crazy as shit. I've literally started to rewatch the show. Seen his character. Laughed. Didn't even know he was gone. My words don't really mean shit. I didn't know him. But he's gone. Weird isn't the word to describe how I'm feeling atm but I can't find another one.

Just did the same thing right now. Googled him after watching this for the first time.

It's always 'weird', especially when it happens to people in their prime. Harris was like what? 20 something? 30? Way too young to suddenly die like that. You always go through life thinking about the future. There's always one more day. Until you finally get old or sick and suddenly there's not all that many tomorrows left. Or maybe someone you frequently interacted with who looked and acted fine is suddenly gone one day. Even if it is someone you're not close to, it feels off because you've gotten used to that person being around. And suddenly they're not going to be there anymore. Ever. You don't exactly mourn for them because you weren't close enough to really feel their loss that deeply, but you're still reminded of the fact that they aren't around anymore and that it could happen to you or someone else close to you much faster than you think. This happened to me when I was 5. My mother got in a car accident and she died on impact. She was only 36. She was just gone. Just like that. As easy as snapping your fingers. One day, everything was fine and she was still around, going through the usual routines of life and the next, she was just gone and everything is different now. Suddenly, she won't be picking you up at school anymore, or making your lunch or scolding you for stealing a cookie before dinner. Things that you used to take for granted but suddenly you don't have it anymore and no matter how much you want to have it back, it'll never happen.
