@GaryTurbo6 жыл бұрын
No, not really
@JimmyMon6666 жыл бұрын
No, but let's be real. No one else would help a homeless single guy either. It's not just Zack. There's a very good reason for that. Many homeless do suffer from mental problems, not all of them, but a significant portion. Would you want some homeless guy around your teenage daughter (I don't think Zack had any sisters, so this is hypothetical).
@caitlinroseblaney2266 жыл бұрын
Jimmy M People with mental illnesses are much more likely to be the victims of crimes than to commit them, so... stop with that stigma :/
@maybewise5 жыл бұрын
@@JimmyMon666 That's not a good reason. Not everyone with mental illness is violent. Like I have sever anxiety that prevented me from getting a job, or even finishing school, until I was 21, and if it wasn't for my mom letting me stay with her, I would've been one of those "mentally ill homeless people". The "good reason" to not let them live with you, is the possibility of them being criminals, or addicts who don't want to change their ways (though, if you bother to have conversations with them, you should be able to tell). And criminals can do just as much to guys. Especially if the guy's naive enough to want them to stay, just because there's a pretty young lady involved, who could just be a bait girl. So that "teenage daughter" comment was unnecessary. Because the HOMELESS guy could be the one worried about Zack taking advantage of his daughter, and their situation.
@greghannibal5 жыл бұрын
@@JimmyMon666 It's true, it's why here in America we tend not to trust homeless people because a lot of them are homeless for good reason. I recently found out that convicted pedophiles are very likely to be homeless, so are ex criminals if they can't get a job. A lot of them are on the streets due to a drug or alcohol problem (or both). In comparison, my family has been almost homeless twice now but both times we stayed with friends and family, which I think is the general assumption. If you have nowhere else to go there's probably someone who cares about you to take you in unless you've made that impossible. One of my coworkers was homeless for several months, living in a tent because she had no one in the area to take her in. It's a sad reality.

I mean, to be fair, back when this episode came out, $3 could get you a decently calorie filled lunch at a fast food restaurant. But it wouldn't have bought you much drugs. ... or so I heard.
@BooDotBoo4 жыл бұрын
I wasn't very old when this show was out, but yeah, you could get a whole Happy meal with $3 and food was just cheaper back then, so $3 wasn't really that bad. Then again, we also know he had more money, since he was able to treat this girl out to lunch, so he could have let go a few more dollars. Plus, we know Zack isn't poor by any means, so even if he gave the guy the $20+ dollars in his pocket, he could have easily gotten more. I also feel like, with how Zack is, his parents didn't mind throwing money at him; he was obviously used to getting what he wanted as often as possible.
@75aces972 жыл бұрын
Took the words out of my mouth. Can't fault Zach for this one. $3 wasn't a lot of money even then, but in the early 90s it was enough to let you eat enough to get you through the day. Despite what Nancy Reagan or DARE may have led kids to believe, about the only "drugs" you'd have been able to get with that would have been a bag of pencil shavings disguised as pot. Or a strip of construction paper sold as LSD.
@Spartucus1016 жыл бұрын
Zack Morris isn't real. I mean, I've always believed he was the alternate personality of Screech. Like a fight Club type of thing. That Zack was what Screech wished he was, and did the things he wished he could do. Saved by the Bell and Zack Morris makes so much more sense when you see it as the fevered dreams of a socially awkward nerd day dreaming that he was part of the cool kids club. If you look at the start of every episode and imagine Zack Morris isn't even there and that Screech is really just eves dropping. The rest of the episode is just the fantasy of screech playing out in his mind as he sits in the editing room of A/V club. It's why Zack can stop time, and all the people that are hurt just disappear and never return. It's why Screech himself has near super human abilities and "Hangs out" with the coolest guy in school. It's also why Screech seems so gullible with Zack, there the same person. I mean honestly, do we all really think the coolest kid is school is constantly talking to and associating with the principle and with teachers? nope. But the school nerd and head of the A/V club would? is track season and wrestling season happening simultaneously? Nope. But a super nerd trapped in the editing room in the high school basement might not care. It's just a theory. But I always thought that.

I think teens are, inherently, kind of shitty, and the gang did normal shitty stuff like most kids, but Zack took things to such an insane level in comparison; he was never attractive to me. Shoot, I would even take Screech over Zack.

Zack's mom, finally realizing what a monster her son is, would take him to therapy. His doctor, a seasoned psychologist who thought he'd seen it all, sat down with Morris. Session upon session he studied his patient. The days become weeks. The weeks become months. The months become years. The once optimistic doctor has grown weary and haggard. His colleagues ask him what's happened to him. He answers: "I met this sixteen-year-old boy -- or 21-year-old man... it's hard to say really -- with this blank, pale, emotionless face... and the blondest hair -- the Devil's hair. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up (there was also that one week I spent trying to pry this enormous cell phone away from him before it gave him cancer) because I realized that what was living within that boy's hair was purely and simply...evil. Unfortunately, as it turns out he can manipulate time and space, using a 'time out' ability to freeze everything around him and escape."

marvdatboi: It was a joke. Unless a person has come across that bit of trivia they wouldn't know he was anything but pasty white. If the alt-right find out you aren't a purebreed, alt-right, heterosexual, white guy they tend to look down on you. Hence, it's a bit ironic that he definitely fits the bill in personality but would technically be a subclass in many of their eyes. Kinda like Milo.

This is the template for 80s and 90s sitcomes. Characters do dumb shit, then by the end they learn a lesson.
