I adore German shepherds. I had one growing up and he (skipper) was by my side at all times. When mom put me outside to nap in the pram skipper laid beside me the whole time. When I was in school he stayed with me until the school bus came to pick me up and he greeted me when I got off the bus. He was amazing. We always had German shepherds. They are smart, loyal, protective and loving. Best dogs ever

Chihuahuas make wonderful companions. They are easy to care for and require little grooming since the long-haired Chihuahuas' coats do not tangle easily. Being a small breed, they also have lower food requirements compared to larger dogs. Chihuahuas can be territorial, affectionate, and very attached to their owners. You are so right! I have 2 GS and I can’t go to the bathroom or take a shower by myself. They don’t act like that with my husband just me. When I take a shower I lock them out other wise they get in the shower with me. You would think someone was killing them with how they act, howling barking and whining.

Loyal and protective. I’m disabled with walking issues. An armadillo had dug a tunnel we were unaware of and the ground collapsed leaving me trapped in a position I couldn’t get out of without help. My previous shepherd, Grace, was with me and she took off and went into the house and fussed at my husband till he got up to see what she wanted. Once he got outside he heard me yelling for him. I’ve had 4 dogs as an adult and all of them have been GS or GS mixes. They are the best!

0:15. Hilarious German Sheppard. I'd love ❤️ to have a dog. But I'm too sensitive. The more the animal is interactive the more I suffer of it's loss. It hurts too much. Had a parrot and she died. It's 20 years ago and I still cry over her at night. I can't look at photos of my departed beloved animals.

Many years ago I rescued a female working line GSD who had a very high prey drive when I first rescued her. The early part of this video at 0.20 reminded me of her when I took her to my sister's house where her King Charles Cavalier Spaniel had recently delivered a litter of pups. The pups were 6 or 7 weeks old and in an area very similar to the one shown in that part of the video. My GSD saw them, leapt over the little fence and I gasped in horror at the possible consequences. Not a problem. My dog slowly walked up to the tiny pups and sniffed them, some of the little pups were quite excited and hung onto her neck and chin hairs and she didn't mind in the least. She walked around very slowly to sniff all of them, moving her feet so slowly and delicately so that she didn't stand on or injure any of them. She soon lost her prey drive not long after, when I knew that it wasn't her innate instinct and I could train her properly.

I agree with so many of these. Floofy GS puppies are the cutest animal ever. I used to swear that if I shaved my shepherd I'd get 1 bag of fur, but when I brush them it's 5 bags. It never stops. And I keep a stool at the backdoor for sitting down to tie my shoes, because it makes it easier to fend both dogs off while tying. If I just bend over to tie I'm very likely to get headbutted.

I've had three GSDs in my life, and they have all been amazing dogs. They will crack you up with your antics, as you can see by this video. I really miss their snoring too. They were the best! P.S. I did not appreciate the GSD riding in the back of that truck!! That is so dangerous, and it should not be allowed!!
