Neck, back, leg, knees & ribs I have seen that wedge do some destruction on humans many of times. Though we keep going back for more punishment because it is so much fun. I miss surfing the wedge and hoping my back gets strong enough do it again soon.

Hello,I have been watching ur videos for a short while now. I really luv the way you guys have such a good time and clean the beach as well. I also notice u get quite a few pull tabs and I don’t know what u do with them but if u don’t have a use already and u have a Childrens hospital and a Ronald McDonald House they take pull tabs or rather they do in Texas one gallon is worth 50 to 60 I think to them just a suggestion luv the video’s.

You made a great point here and proved it at the same time. A metal Detector will detect metal, that's100% certain. I think the failure mostly is the I.D. of the items from the machine. The machine called your last dig a penny and it was a padlock. Its seems alot of your targets land in the 5-7 , 13-15 , 23-27 , and 30-35ish ranges. It gives a general idea but the end result changes. Was over at JJ james channel watching a couple of his dig with that expensive CTX machine. Hit a target at around 8-9 inch , sounded great , pulled out a big iron nail. Even with that expensive machine is didnt know it was a nail. When I had my CZ-3D (14 years ago roughly) same thing pretty much happened to me. Kind of knew what it was from the sound and how the machine was acting with cross sweeping, result was a flip of a coin. Pretty much dig them all(within reason) you never know what you get but you can be certain the metal detector knows its metal but doesnt know its a modelo cap.

I never trust the VDI when it is deep, bring it shallow if still iron move on. But those tent stake and quarters still make me a little nuts at times. Thank you 🤙

Jim don’t turn your back at the wet beach. Especially at the wedge, quite a shorebreak to say the least. People disappear on beaches, for that reason and others...
@funwithjim3 жыл бұрын
I certainly know the dangers as I have been nailed by a rogue wave or two. Thank you! 👍😎🍻
@panthercityoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
just curious why you nevet use a pinpointer to locate frustrating targets? When I find a deep target, I stick my pinpointer in the hole to see where i need to dig next. If I didnt use my PP, I'd have a hard time locating those tiny earrings. thanks for posting.
@funwithjim3 жыл бұрын
a true Old School Beach detectorist does not use a pin pointer on the beach. I have never used one on the beach however I would recommend to everyone that they do. Thank you!
@panthercityoutdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@funwithjim maybe, but you could also say they dont use modern digital detectors or lightweight scoops. If the old school guys had access to pinpointers 30-40 years ago, I can bet theyd use them. anyway thanks again
@funwithjim3 жыл бұрын
35+ years ago we had pinpointers, I still have my bulls eye. Beside everyone that I grew up with detecting the beaches KNOWS this rule, NO pinpointers on the beach. My dad would smack me in the back of the head just for the thought of using one on the beach, however we always used one in the desert.

@funwithjim2 жыл бұрын
steel pennies? I have never found one on the beach.
@wescooper98552 жыл бұрын
@@funwithjim OK, my mistake. I keep hearing you refer to "zinc" pennies, which is what some people call the steel pennies which were minted during WW2. I've been collecting the WW2 (steel) pennies all my life (found most of them in OK and TX). So, what are the "zinc" pennies you're referring to?

Yes, but mainly because of the surf conditions. Larger waves are hard to see in the dark.
