My brother and I are avid followers of Eurovision and we always instinctively recognised what should be the winning songs and this was the one for 1989. The group were good looking, beautifully attired - traditional Swiss style mens suits and the beautiful lady, lovely lyrics- a joie de vivre feeling. It is like the 73 contest the best entries that year were Israel and Luxembourg they were in a league of their own- you just knew that when you heard the songs performed by attractive , talented singers with good vocal ability. Well Done Switzerland in 89.

Pour la premiere fois, avec cette chanson, une langue occitane (le Romanche) accédait à l'Eurovision. A quand une chanson en Nissart (la langue traditionnelle des Niçois, extrèmement proche du Romanche ) pour représenter la France ?

They changed the arrangement on this for the Final and it wasn't as good as this version.

Yeh it was but the lovely wee chord drop in the middle of the chorus was changed.. listen to it

The backings let this down on the night. Their mics were turned up a bit too high, and one of them was slightly flat so it was all I could hear.
