Wonderfully emotional playing!! You also really know how to draw the sound out of the guitar. Too often I see players who seem disconnected from the instrument in their hands and force their technique on it without listening deeply to what the instrument's true voice is.

A very beautiful performance. I wonder however if this piece lends itself better to DADGAD tuning. I have started to learn this piece based on this performance, but in DADGAD. I am about half way through and waiting with dread until I reach a section which is unplayable in the alternative tuning...

You can search it on Google and pay the original composer for the notation and tab. I did and I'm almost finished learning it. I actually bought a Furch Gc Red because of this video

Reading your comment again I realized that this video of Kevin playing this piece does add several things that aren't in the original composition by John Doan. This rendition is especially beautiful. I still plan on learning to play it exactly as Kevin plays it here. I'm making slow progress in my busy life, but I'm getting there

Sensational performance! It deserves a better microphone and lose the Reverb! Every time I hear one of these guitars demonstrated, they’re using reverb. I want to hear the guitar it’s self and unfortunately these just don’t have the impact of the Martin GUITARS they would like to displace.

Every guitar is different, I have played some Martins that did not have much going on but play a few different examples at a couple of dealers and you will find that Martin sound. Would I take a Martin over a McPherson, NO!!!

Owned a furch guitar for a short time , very poor craftsmanship.For what money the furch red series cost ,you can buy a martin d 41 . The martin d 41 is ten times the guitar and will hold its value a lot better. Furch guitars are not well know in the US market and don't hold their value very well.

Very similar neck feel on Taylor's vs Furch. Nice smooth glide finish, soft V shape, very comfy. 45mm nut width on this guitar too, = 1 3/4" approx. The cool thing that Furch has is the CNR system (composite neck reinforcement), it's a proprietary design that stabilizes the neck joint to make twisting nearly impossible, along with a truss rod compartment that straightens the neck more evenly and accurately that a tradition truss.
