I love how crazy Furi's lore is when it's literally just a fast and intense boss rush shooter-fighter with small scenes inbetween where you walk between the fights while someone else talks to you. Yet by the end of it I felt like I really understood every character and got a little emotional.

half of the artist from furi are french (toxic avenger, kn1ght, danger, carpenter brut), the other half being swedish (waveshaper) and american (lorn, scattle), they are pretty well known in france and furi's studio is french so they probably went for their own national artist

If you like his style, I recommend everyone to listen to the Haven soundtrack. Danger didn't just contribute, he made the entire soundtrack by himself and it's one of the most unique ones I've ever heard. You really start to notice he put a lot of thought into translating all the different emotions of the game into music.

6:24 is one of those tracks that is 10x better when you played the game Back then I had no idea what game I bought, the music and art was cool Starts of with a weird but cool cutscenes and then jumps into the first Bossfight, about getting revenge on someone that tortured the character, and it was soooo intense and difficult and those drums were like wardrums to me Glad you like it, Furi introduced me to one of my favorite artist of all time, still no idea how danger names his songs though xD

Furi is an amazing little game. Put simply, it's just a really well crafted boss rush with nice, tight combat, and the way the music meshes together with the visuals and the pacing of each fight is just a beautiful thing to experience. It's definitely a soundtrack you should play through if that makes sense.

I love when game does dynamic music. dmcv with chorus part when getting s rank combo, Doom eternal music getting hype with how well you play the game and Furi(this game) with each opponent new phase having more and more buildup to the song. I hope more game can do this kind of stuff.

I think if the music feels glitchy is probably because the boss in the game uses lightning as weapon and he can teleport.

You are absolutely right, I played Furi and it opened my eyes to the beauty of eletronic music. The best thing this game does in my opinion is how they managed to syncronize some of the bosses moves to the beat of the songs. It's amazing to hear the music, but to play into the beat is a whole different thing!

finally my favorite one i especially love the complete arrangement from confused turtle. The song goes so fast, but the complete arrangement gives you more so you notice new cool versions that in original version is just appearing for couple seconds + its close to the version that you hear in game. Can say that this song - is short version of what is in game that has much more.

I replied once but decided to delete that comment so that I could listen to the Confusedturtle arrangement again to confirm my thoughts. After doing that, I'm comfortable saying that the El Bromo Hojo mix is the best version, by far. The OST version is obviously missing tons of content, and while the Confusedturtle mix adds in a lot of content missing from the OST version it also has tons of redundancy. Anticipation doesn't flow into the song well and is identical to Melee 1+4, Phases 1+2+3 are all identical to each other, and phases 5+6 are identical. About 6.5 minutes of the mix is redundant, and since the melee phases get used in the first half they're missing during phases 4+5+6. Those phases don't flow into each other very well since there are supposed to be melee phases between them (especially since phases 5+6 are identical). The mix by El Bromo Hojo cuts out all the redundancy, and also has an actual finale instead of just suddenly cutting out. Arguably it isn't "pure" since some sections are played out of order and it includes OST content, but considering the issues of mixing together phases of a boss fight that aren't designed to mesh well as a single song I think these are fine sacrifices to make.

IIRC Danger names all his songs based on what time he finished composing the song. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I believe he has a few songs that don't follow this format like 88:88 which is an LCD clock when not plugged in.

I was introduced to this music through your channel. This sounds mysterious and the lower drone sound makes me think of some sort of dormant mechanical behemoth lurking. That is an infectious beat, this is overall a pretty cool sound scape. some of the high pitched crystal synths remind me a lot of a similar synth used for some songs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, good progressions. The random pauses and skips are cool, I usually don't like them but they are used tastefully here. This song is just so cool with the random effects, I like how some sound crunchy and some drown out the music for a second. This was interesting, I don't know how to feel about it.

This soundtrack has far more depth than most people give it credit for. The songs have a running theme of distortions, scrambled acoustics that feel just barely strung together by the rhythm of each fight. You start out the game not even knowing who you are, literally get dubbed "The Stranger" by official lore. And the further you go, the further your countless questions get answered, only for each of those answers to hatch more questions about who you are and why you're being jailed like this...the less distortions there are. The musical themes become more consistent. There are less mixups in the tempo, each movement in the music feels more like a conventional, harmonic follow-up, rather than a shift in tone. And by the end? Crystal clear. No mixups. No distortions. This is what you are. But then... The final boss gives you your first actual choice in the entire game. Accept what you are, put down your sword and let hell break loose...or defy your nature, stand and fight. And should you choose to fight, the distortions come back, but this time they somehow feel more deliberate. After finding out what you are and consciously *defying* your nature, the clear harmony and the distorted shifts become one cohesive piece of adrenaline filled theatre that hearkens back to the very first theme in both key and chord progression. It's the same melody. You're a blank slate again. But this time, it was your choice to make. This game's soundtrack is a fucking masterpiece. And the vinyl set looks dope as well.

Furi has one of the best soundtracks of all time for suuuure. Easy to forget among all the other good stuff for some reason but whenever you come back to it you almost feel guilty you forgot how good this is.
