Fun fact! During furina's demo, the spotlights that shines while she swings are the colors green, teal, purple, and gold. These colors are the main colors of the previous four archons! Nahida, Venti, Raiden and Zhongli!

furina is the character that i've seen grow on EVERYBODY. some people didn't like her at first but ended up loving her by the end of the fontaine archon quest. seeing how you already love her so much, i can't wait to see your future reaction to both the archon quest and her own story quest!

Childe showing up *was* a big surprise, those of us that watched the trailer just got surprised a week or two early! Which then led to several very fun weeks of theorycrafting and hype among the community as to what in the world he was doing there in the first place. I think it makes sense for you not to watch the trailers beforehand since you deliberately avoid the Genshin community/spoilers, but for those of us that are all caught up and a part of the wider community, they provide a lot of excitement and a good way to bond as a community. Different strokes for different folks and situations, as you say!

Im so glad you've liked the K.Will videos! I've loved Please Dont for a long time and was so excited when the singer posted a picture with the two actors and then later announced the sequel. Please Dont could have definitely stayed as a stand alone but im so glad he decided to blow our minds again (during pride month too) Both the actors have very established careers so im also so glad they were willing to come back for the sequel

I am not a Xiaoven shipper, but I love that Angel Baby video. Probably wouldn't have clicked on it originally if I wasn't already a fan of Troye Sivan. Geo used to be the least used element, but it got a huge resurgence with Navia. It's definitely Cryo now. Yeah I've never felt spoiled for a Genshin trailer because they deliberately obscure the context. They make the trial look like it has something to do with Lynette's disappearance, they make Clorinde look like she's attacking us in the gardemek army cutscene, and a million interpretations can be drawn from the Childe scene. I personally theorised that the Traveler had just been convicted and Childe was jumping in to defend us.

As far as I understand, Furina’s full (I mean really full) story is never explicitly told in the game at all, so you are already in a perfect position to make your own hypotheses!

So, about "geo jail". The issue was that during 3.X/Sumeru patches there was an emphasis on reaction-heavy playstyle, while geo is a very non-reactive element with only one pretty mediocre carry (Itto) that required a lot of investment to be usable; even worse there were no geo characters released during sumeru patches, no weapons or artefacts benefiting geo - nothing. The only good geo character at the time of 3.0-3.8 was Zhongli, because shield. Currently the situation with geo is way more healthier, in Fontaine we finally got a strong geo carry (Navia) and somewhat okay and way less clunky geo sub-dps (Chiori), and in Natlan we got an amazing geo buffer (Xilonen); plus release of Furina made Noelle much more viable carry.

I know you already said we don't know the context in these trailers, I agree and I want to say again that you 100% couldn't guess what is happening and don't understand anything in the trailer, in fact they were trying to misleading us too. We only understand everything after finish the quest and that's why you think some of those scenes are spoiler.

While the Childe thing was probably the most egregious spoiler (as you knew how his involvement in the trial would end up before it even began), the trade-off is getting that shock moment in the trailer, possibly watching it live with other people in Twitch watchalongs or what have you. That's its own kind of special moment that is worth having, but of course, one has to choose which type of moment they'd prefer to have.

exactly, genshin trailers are very missleading, ofc you're expecting that cutscene when the update arrives, but when you play the quest the context has changed so much that even if you know X will be in a cutscene... it'll be very different as how you imagine it'll be

@@Llasslo Everybody who watched the trailer would have guessed that Childe was gonna be declared guilty by the Oratrice. Why else would he be fighting Gardemeks in the 4.0 trailer? So people were expecting something to happen to Childe that causes that fight. Which when combined with the context of the Oratrice makes it pretty easy to guess the reason.

AH YOU SAW MY SUBMISSION!!! MY BRAIN IS FULL OF XIAO AND VENTI THEY ARE SO GREAT I have some backstory on the ship if you care to read! Idk if you already knew this but Xiao once almost succombed to his karmic debt and was only saved by the soothing sound of the Dihua flute played by Lord Barbatos. Venti has been shown to be fond of Xiao before, like in the Endless Suffering animated trailer (not sure if you've reacted to it before) and just wants him to rest. But also in Xiao's name card it says that he only wishes to dance in a sea of flowers to the sound of that flute and not be fighting endlessly. I think Xiaoven used to be more popular back on the day but it's by no means unpopular now (despite some hickups with some unsavory folk bashing it but that sadly normal now) The video is based on the fanfiction "if these wings could fly" by MaximillianDelirium on Archives of our own, in which Venti is (as you guessed) a world famous singer is one night saved by Xiao from some thugs. Due to this Venti puts in a word for Xiao to become his personal bodyguard.... But he doesn't know that Xiao considers him to be his savior too, as a musician he really admires. Btw that was Xiangling with Xingqiu, Chongyun and Xiao I think 😂

I like watching the Genshin demos when they come out, but sometimes they do tell some stuff that would be better as a surprise. But I’ve never minded spoilers anyway, I grew up in a culture where people would buy magazines to know what would happen on soap operas beforehand (I don’t know if that was just a Brazilian thing in the 90s, but there was a whole market for tv spoilers!). By the way I loved the first video! To all the 20 something people struggling out there, I can tell you, it does get better! Hang on, cause you just blink and 15 years have gone by, you’ll look back and be proud of your journey, trust me

As someone who has never watched any of the trailers, I can vouch that it makes the experience 100 times better. In one of the later Fontaine trailers, they just straight up spoil the most important thing in the version and even showed all of its attacks and how to kill it, which is incredibly lame imo and I'm glad I didn't see it.

They always put something to hook you in the trailer. For us at the time…we were all like Childe? What’s he doing there? Why is he fighting. While it’s somewhat a spoiler it still left more questions than it did answers. I think they do great with their trailers. They are even misleading at times. They will put sound bites from story quests over images of the Archon quest to make you think something other than what is going on. So I understand your point of view but in some ways you miss out on the speculation fun they are meant to instill. They drop these expecting people will talk about what’s in them for days…and they do. lol. That’s half the fun of the trailers.

You've actually reacted to another video connected to it, which is the Aether-Kazuha-Wanderer MV (ARANAGI "Truth & Justice" from one of your reacts video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmmWiWCFmcSHha8 ), but it's the full version of the song. The hoyofair version had animation in between that adds more to this story between bands competing with each other. I think the creators are doing this somewhat episodic per hoyofair so there's going to be more to the story soon! I think it's okay now to send you that Hoyofair version of the song to give you another piece of the puzzle. The songs that Venti's group sang, as well as Childe's group sang have their full version too.!

Geo does favor Mono-geo, though there's also a lot of Duo Teams that work quite well. (the main strength of Mono-teams is high energy generation of a specific element which can greatly reduce ER needs). Yun-jin technically wants a rainbow party to maximize her Normal-attack support buff but it's hard to meet her high ER needs that way without sacrificing more stats than you gain from it. Gorou though wants 3 Geo (including himself) in the party since his buff is pretty crap at lvl 1 or lvl 2. (pretty much all the good stuff comes at lvl 3). i.e. Noelle/GMC/Gorou/Bennet would be a solid team if you decided to build a Geo Team. Navia/Xilonen and 2 PECH elements is also pretty solid. Navia uses Crystalize shards to power up her Gunbrella attacks, while Xilonen needs there to be 2 or fewer Geo for her Resistance Shred/Healing to work. Together they can do a decent amount of crystalize generation depending on your other two unit's application rates. Chiori wants at least 1 other geo, preferably a construct user (i.e. GMC/Ningguan/Albedo/Zhongli/Itto) (unless C1+, which just requires a 2nd Geo period), since it allows her to summon two dolls instead of one which effectively doubles her skill damage. Geo resonance is the strongest resonance and is one of the few ways to further buff Geo damage, so outside of Yun-jin/Xilonen/GMC/Zhongli (who can all slot into other parties and bring something useful even as a solo-geo), it's pretty common to have a Duo-Geo team at least to get advantage of it. (though this can require crystalize shields to take advantage of if there's no dedicated shielder to activate it).

okay so basically lots of people didn't like the chorus, I think it was also the fact that no one expected zb1 to suddenly do a dark concept, it was definitely a first and last till now they have never done something like this again, most of their songs are super bright and cute so it was a contrast that a lot of ppl didn't like I guess, also the korean name of the song is 가시 which means thorn and it sounds like gosh/crush so that's another meaning to it (rose with thorns to represent the difficult parts of love that hurt, their fandom name is zeROSE) and yes they have a leader 😭 but the guy who u thought was the leader is actually the center (zhang hao)

Hey Roamer! I guess I'm finally breaking my long-time lurker status, and it /would/ be because of FF14. FFXIV can absolutely be played solo, and the dev team has actually been working hard to make the game even more solo-friendly! NPC teams can serve as your other party members for all dungeons in the lower-level content where otherwise you might've teamed up with other players. The boss fights - 'Trials' - still have you team up with three other people to complete them, but this is as painless as two clicks of a button, five minutes playing, and a 'GG' in chat at the end. Friends that you already have are nice to play with, but I can confirm that I played the whole thing essentially solo myself and only partied up with other people for dungeons and bosses. It's also a game that very much rewards going at your own pace and investing yourself in the worldbuilding. Each expansion is, essentially, its own full-length Final Fantasy game, just with a continuing storyline in the same world. Think X into X-2, or how Genshin progresses from area to area that have their own unique storylines, yet are still connected. If you ever decided to pick it up, I bet it'd play much like your Genshin playthrough has been going. On that note... X has long been my favourite Final Fantasy - hands down, no question. I'd never played an MMO before, didn't like the format, preferred purely single-player games. FFXIV now stands toe-to-toe with X as my favourite Final Fantasy.
