In my honest opinion, Furina should've been introduced as the actual Archon instead of a split off human version of Focalor. I get what Genshin was trying to do but Furina with her actual God powers instead of a vision would've been much stronger and cooler. Plus people are confused thinking she's a completely different person when she's literally just Focalor without her divinity.

It's completely understandable canon Furina is a traumatized wreck (both by the prophecy and Arlecchino) as she had to endure immortality without invincibility for 500 years, threats all about AND not telling a soul about her purpose. This makes the final cut scene of chapter 4.5 so strong: 500 years of loneliness assuming you failed... only now can she relax and be more 'herself', and yes, that includes traits from the more collected Focalors. If we'd gotten Focalors (in hindsight, as Furina would have just been a vessel then), we would have just gotten Raiden 2.0.

@@Qoko88 I mean as in two different people like how let's say Diluc and Zhongli. Two different people who are completely unrelated to each other in every way. Furina and Focalors isn't like that. They are literally what Raiden Shogun and Ei would be if Raiden wasn't a puppet and didn't have Ei's powers and they weren't using the same body. Raiden was literally created in Ei's image, and Furina is literally what Focalors would have been as a human. Focalors and Furina are like two halves of the same coin. They are separate existence wise, but also the same. Zhongli said it best in his voice line about Furina, "She made a contract with herself to save the people of Fontaine." That's the game itself acknowledging that they are basically the same person split in two. I get the whole personality thing but Focalors said she made Furina how she view humans are personality wise, how she would see herself if she wasn't an Archon. And that, in her eyes made Furina perfect. But while doing that, Furina had the mental capacity of a normal human and any normal human just thrust out there, forced to live for 500 years while keeping up the act of a God in fear of divine punishment if they were found out would've reacted the same way.

@@MrKingpin1205 I think we're kind of on the same wavelength, just discussing semantics: any player saying Furina and Focalors have no relation whatsoever (ie Diluc Zhongli comparison) aren't paying attention. The mental state (500 years of separation) is completely different and that matters most to me. As for wanting the full power Focalors as character: it would have been very different. I enjoy Conners' voice acting more as the over the top Furina, Focalors would have been boring. But that's an opinion, so each to their own.

@@Qoko88 I agree, I think Focalors probably would've done alright but in comparison to Furina, I don't think she comes close to Furina in popularity. Furina has a charm to her that people like and people can relate to her more than Focalors. Plus Focalors didn't get a lot of screen time anyway like Furina did so that ruined her chances to actually being liked more. Plus like you said, Furina over the top personality is well liked. I was just saying, I would love to see Furina as an Archon but keep her personality she has now. Besides the gameplay I mentioned in my first comment, a dramatic, over the top Archon would've been nice to see in contract to the Archons we already met from Nahida, Ei, Zhongli, and Venti.

This is an amazing remix! However, if I had to make any critiques, I'd say that the transition to the vocal section (where Furina is on the swings) is much too abrupt. Also, the entire silent area from about 0:36 - 0:39 is completely missing. I would have liked to see either that silence being left in or having some additional build-up to the climax of the section at 0:39. Other than that, this is a wonderful remix!

While I do like those epic versions generally, this one just doesn't feel right. The voiced part in this epic style doesn't really fit, and it switched too much between the epic orchestra and then the solo instrument parts. Maybe I'm biased, cause I think the original is already so perfect and this epic version, for me, didn't improve upon it or added something, unlike epic-style versions of other songs. Still, great work, nonetheless. Keep it going!
