I was in the Korean navy. There were always many cats around the base. My marine officer friend gave me one black kitten who's mother ran away, after while I found another kitten near my naval base who jumped on my lap... Well I have both of the now and love them so much :) People shouldn't buy cats they should adopt them!

Well there is a rules about this in my religion. In Islam, it is haram (Prohibited) to buy or sell cats. But it is permissible to pet a cat. So, the only way available to get a cat is to adopt a cat. Probably that might the reason why you could rarely find a breeder or cat shop in muslim countries including mine. But, you can find thousands of shelters there because muslims are highly encouraged to help animals, specially cats.

I've had troubles with the health of cars from a pet store. The cats from shelters have been healthier and are sometimes already neutered or spayed. They're cared for better by people who love them.😻

Anytime I see a tube man when I am out and about, I remember and laugh about this video. We have a rescue dog (given to us) a rescue kitty (found at the edge of our woods, so small we had to feed her milk with an eye dropper), a rescue horse (given to us, and about starved), another horse given to us when a herd got too big for the owners, and an adorable doggy given to us by a friend who had a life change and couldn't keep her any longer. They give SO much more than they take, and I didn't have to pay a dime for them aside from vet care and feed. PLEASE support shelters and adopt, not buy.
