Speaking of which, I also live in affluent neighbourhood and the things people throw away are such treasures. So far I got 2 nice dressers, a desk and vintage chair off the curbs! I totally agree in upcycling and re-using, would rather save it from landing in the landfill.

Jose, there is nothing wrong with a little dumpster diving! I live in an apartment complex and it's amazing what quality items people set by the dumpster. I found a darling metal and glass computer desk a few years ago when I went to take my garbage out and I'm still using it! And if you've never heard of KZbinrs, The Sorry Girls, in Canada, they've built a whole business upcycling/reusing items, (they will even drive expensive neighborhoods on garbage day) and now they have over 2 million subscribers. Check them out!
