I love that Alex has an interest and an opinion on all things related to decor! He was right about the lounge chair . It's beautiful but it blends in and gets lost in the red wall in the background. A white throw over it would look perfect and tie it in with the rest room while also breaking up the red and bring more focus on the chair itself. Keep it up Alex!

Agreed, a floor plant would be good. Maybe a tree-like one that has its fullness all at the top. I actually think the eye likes a bit of asymmetry so having a tall plant like that would provide some balance. In my opinion another table would make it look stuffed. I'm in love with the colours you've chosen for your house. I adore jewel tones and cozy textures like velvets and woolen throws etc. My living room is a deep teal and soft grey. I'm going to mention it again on here because I'm not sure you will have seen my comment on the last vlog but be very careful with your flooring in your wardrobe. Jute carpet can be quite prickly underfoot and because it's such a corse natural fibre it could snag your delicate fabrics. You also shouldn't put underfloor heating beneath any type of carpet. Insulate your curtains or blinds and keep your wardrobe door open to let heat circulate from the rest of the house Xx

@@VictoriaMagrath my pleasure hun, best thing to do would be to get large samples and trial walking over them and get an old piece of delicate clothing and see if there's any possible chance of snags. If you like the idea of a woven carpet have a look at a woven wool carpet rather than a cut pile, it will give you a nice textured look but no prickly bits xx

I definitely think the weather is making everyone sick. Alex is such a doll for taking care of you while you're not feeling well. If you haven't gotten it already, I recommend buying an instant pot. It makes cooking so much easier. I loved the red chair and how well it blends with the accent wall. Also, definitely get another chair for the bedroom. Remember to rest, have some broth and some orange juice.

That beautiful chair does get lost against the wall I think adding a throw or swapping it for the tan leather chair that is over near the entrance...that way the merlot is against the white wall and the tan against they Merlot wall maybe??? When my Christmas tree was too short I stuck it in a big old fashioned urn from my garden and it looked so fabulous! It took a bit of ingenuity but was worth it! My favourite room is your master bedroom....very french 💞 Feel better soon and don't forget the whiskey!

I am almost 30, just a few more weeks, and I too am definitely feeling the aches that I feel like a lot of people say come with your 30s. I cannot sleep on my side or my shoulders ache, earlier this year mine was bothering me for about 6 weeks because I didn't know what was causing the shoulder pain and my personal trainer kept stretching it to try and loosen up my tight muscles and then I finally realized it was because of how I was sleeping. I still sleep on my side sometimes on accident and when my shoulders start bothering me I just have to stretch and foam roll my shoulders a lot.

For the issue of your back...check your vitamin D levels, your vit B12 levels, make sure you are taking fish oil or flax seeds/oil daily, top up with magnesium skin oil and perhaps see to take Bcomplex vitamins too. Massage will do a bit, but it wont deal with any nutrients deficiency you may have causing the symptoms. Drink 2 L of water a day, and reduce caffeine intake.

A bigger tree would look lovely in your living room, a fuller one too with less space between the different branch layers. You're doing an amazing job making the house so unique and very homely. Ps. I'd definitely recommend regular massages from a professional sports massage therapist. It will be so, so much better for you than a spa massage. If you find someone experienced enough you will be able to find the root of the problem and work on it rather than just temporarily relieving the pain. Hope you feel better with it soon lovely xx

Flu/cold bomb (minced garlic, minced ginger, pinch of cayenne pepper, Squeeze half a lemon(preferably organic) in hot water, and spoon of organic honey(Manuka honey is better but pricey) two to three cups you will be dancing feeling back to normal if not see doctor 😉 Symmetry in your bedroom is a great thing. Alex had good point about the lovely red chair in your lounge. Elevating your tree for the time being is good idea (I’m sure family member must have something kicking around you could use. Oh my goodness I relate to the socks and things on the end of the bed with my boyfriend. We currently have a little seat at the edge of the bed, I was HOPING that when we also redo our own bedroom that by getting rid of the seat it would encourage him to NOT leave things on the edge of the bed but...seeing as it didn’t work here I imagine it won’t work with my bf either.
