What if our playing was not based on a specific time signature or groove or anything of that matter, yet gravitating around a pulse, a steady movement. Would that still make us groove, move, vibrate? That's what I've been working on - movement, shapes, abstract grooves, no time signatures, yet swing, narrative and motivic development. Try it out it's fun ;)
