I always wondered what the deal was with these guys. Their take on indie rock was almost too perfect. Like, if professional musicians heard Pavement and DInosaur Jr. and decided to try it. I don't know whatever happened to them, but Grip Tape is one of the greatest of the genre.

Some of them went on to be in Beachwood Sparks, that's how I ended up here (looking into their previous band).

You nailed it though, they were a major label band called Shadowland before this. Despite that, they're a decent band. They're like the Stone Temple Pilots of indie rock!

The lead guitar player of the Vegas punk band M.I.A. Showed this band to me when I was in middle school and it’s always had a special place in my heart. For the longest time this was the only song from them I could find.

There is a Dinosaur Jr. shirt, at 2:10. The guy and girl behind the kissing couple in Sebadoh shirts. Must be a subtle joke about the J Mascis/Lou split at the time.
