What calms me is seeing incredibly high pony/griffonpower ready to be recruited. As my strategy is very reliant on infantry, high pony/griffonpower at the beginning of the game assures me that victory is basically guaranteed. Of course, I usually play as minor nations so I don't get that often.

This playing in the mod is just inspiring, no matter the situation. Wether it is peace the final few years before the changelings come crushing to you, or if it is the middle of the sisters' war, or final days of the Siege of Vraks; it always fits in when you play Equestria. It sounds both amazing... and increadibly sad. War is a human thing, the very reason why we love these ponies so much is because they are so much better than us. They've built an amazing beacon of peace and, well, Harmony. Yet, just like us, they have to throw it all away simply because Changelings were too petty to live through their humiliation at Canterlot. To survive is to adapt and the worse is the situation we must adapt to, the worse people we become. To beat Changelings the ponies have to abandon everything that made their country such an awe-inspiring place and worst of all it can never be reversed. The most heartbreaking thing I felt when playing the mod came after the war was over, when I realised that my Celestia changed too much to be the pony everyone once loved. Her ponies wanted her to hold a referendum to decide the future of the land, yet I couldn't get the focus, Celestia didn't meet the requirements, so the only option was to suppress all opposition. 1,2 million of my little ponies died fighing against Chrysalis' tyranny only to recieve a slightly better tyrant. It's a spit into the face of every veteran. This is the true meaning of war. It doesn't matter how just a war is, wether you are fighting for freedom, for honor or merely for survival, in the end you become exactly as bad as the enemy. The only way to resist the corrupting touch of war is to reject its nature. War is brutal, then we must not be. War is a part us, it will always be, but this doesn't mean we have to drag ourselves to our worst every time we make war. Future won at any cost isn't worth living in, so might as well die on the battlefield and spare oneself the pain of seeing everyone's hopes being crushed. P.S. Sometimes, for things like this one, I almost feel like thanking my very qeustionable luck. If I wasn't born in a country soon to suffer through war, betrayal and more, I may have never known the beauty of such small things as cartoony horses.

The real luck is that we got to live in the first moment in the history of our kind when we have finally evolved enough to have enough breathing space for something other than immediate survival. Back at the start of 20th century, you wouldn't have time for cartoons, you would work the factory press till your skin comes off, only so that you can make it to the next month. Today, we have earned but a single precious moment we can use to simply look around and notice the value of things that surround us. We still work a lot, sure; but money worth very little now compared to the previous century. If somebody suddenly found a million bucks lying on the floor one day in 1930s, now that's a real-world changer. No more chocking on factory smoke and literal days without seeing the people you care about. Hell, you now even have a way to escape being drafted into the army and sent to another side of the globe. In our age, any sum of money is only worth something if you know exactly what to do with it. Money could never buy anything truly valuable, the problem was that people didn't have the time to stop and think about what they really want. Just like Karl Marx has predicted the world slowly starts to see the value of people, not just the material benefits they produce. Communists around the globe are going to feel like total fools real soon, you just watch them. Hate to admit it, but looks like leftists were correct for once.

I came here to listen to the HOI 4 Equestra at war OST..... Not to tear up and Feel sorry for a bunch of ponies I barely even know the lore of the show for ;~: It's what one great Scholar Said. (And I might absolutely destroying the quote) Don't pray for the dead that die in war, pray for the living that have to see the aftermath of it. Also, I think what got me into.... Looking into war like this, Ironically is playing Paradox Games. You play conquering everything and committing Genocidal acts that in IRL would be shameful, Yet here we all are, Looking at war really badly because Paradox does their research and teaches people history in all of there games.... ironically making the most war happy players in their games turn into a Anti War person because of it.

aww this brings back memories of my teenaged years. When I first got into this show, truthfully I never really liked the show itself that much but it was really this fandom I liked. All the fan art, fanfic, AUs I loved it. Back when it took place in one big mysterious world fans could make up their own lore and make fanfics about it. It's good to go back down memory lane.

I hate this theme. Every f4cking EaW game i hear this and i'm like "omg it's soooo boring turn it off". I started to love Allies theme. Is this what you want, Equestria's Finest? Upd. It has been 3 years after that comment. Zebrica is released, and the starting music has been changed. I enjoy Equestria's Finest again, just like I did in 2017. In 2019, when I was writing that comment, it was so boring to hear that music playing over and over again as you restart the game for developing purposes.
