Yep, if you are adept at fist fighting and learn some proper techniques, Ulaks can be really good in CQC. Only real downside is the reach, but then again, if you are comfortable with getting up close and personal, these blades are pretty much specifically made for that. Also very good for catching your opponents blade swings with those serrations.

@TheChaoticBeats8 жыл бұрын
well they could simplify the scythe by not having it fold up. Jaune's Crocea Mors would be nice Qrows weapon? YOu have 2 build options: Sword form or Scythe form. Scythe form would be less complicated(?) then Crescent Rose. IDK, I just love some of the weapon designs they've come up with in RWBY despite how impractical they are
@grandadmiralthrawn928 жыл бұрын
TheChaoticBeats If they make the scythe, they'd have to make it transform. It'd be a sin not to have it transform. I honestly can't see them attempting a weapon so complicated, and that's not even adding the sniper rifle bits to it.

Corvo Attano the issue with that sword is that its blade is not a single piece. If you know anything about swords, you should know that if they aren't a single piece, they have pretty much zero structural integrity; the joining point is a key weak point, it will take all the stress of a strike, and it will break in a single strike. So with that sword, they have two choices, neither of which are acceptable: one, make the sword as it is in the game, which would have them make a non-functional wallhangar (something that goes against the entire principle of the show), or two, make it without it splitting into two. This is no good, because that's pretty much the swords's only distinguishing feature. If they did that, they would just be making a generic sword.
@SpearM30648 жыл бұрын
As @theminerofskulls said: If they made that blade as it appears in the game, they wouldn't even be able to do a demo of it. It would break at the joining point of the two pieces on the first strike. Basically, it'd be something like this: "Here's our demo." ::Hangs it on the wall:: "Looks good, doesn't it? Tune in for our next episode where we make an actual blade that won't break when you try to use it."
@Openreality7 жыл бұрын
SpearM3064 They did the scissor blade from Killa Kill, and Matt did make the butterfly knife from one of the more popular fps shooters, can't remember the name currently. They also did the saw blade from bloodborn so the blade from dishonored shouldn't be a problem for them.

They should do Pyrrha's Miló in javelin form. It'd be amazing to see a bronze build, real Greek-like.

This build is great. I've always liked functionality in fantasy blades and the ulaks are definitely a very useable and versatile weapon. The simplicity and elegance of the blades is beautiful. I've wanted a set of those blades for a long time, and to see someone do it right is spectacular.

Tony Swatton, the OG Man at Arms blacksmith, has his own channel now called Azzeroth Armory. That show is pretty much the exact same as Man at Arms, only he's got a deal with Blizzard to make WoW exclusive builds. The Warglaives, Ashbringer, Doomhammer, Gorehowl, etc... Tony's already made them.

I'm sorry, I really respect Tony and his shop's craftsmanship, but the blades and armors they do look like props, not actual swords. They all look like they're for show and, while true to the game, are pretty ugly, imo. The guy's an amazing blacksmith, don't get me wrong, but the Azeroth Armory pieces just look really cartoonish.

How much would it actually cost to buy all weapons
@sammy55177 жыл бұрын
Judging from the fact that a production one handed Steele sword is around $500, and these pieces are custom, actually quite a bit.
@IlDeimos7 жыл бұрын
If they were to sell thier custom finished blades? Since they are hand forged and not done by a machine, they will cost in the thousands, even in the 10s of thousands. Others like the long swords, can cost even in the 100s of thousands. Custom work like this is not cheap. But the finished product is 1000x better then what an automated machine can do.

They said in one of the FAQ videos, that the Ulvbert sword would be about 15k us dollars. They name a few more, but I'd argue these would go for a few grand atleast.. they can take months to make, we only see a fraction of the work.
