Thank you! You're a great teacher. I've picked up on motion an assemblies from other videos but your lessons are the easiest to understand and learn from. Did not know about contact sets or color-coding components. Thanks again.

Hey Arnold aspiring engineer here and let me just say you are an amazing teacher just went through part 1-16 and now I’m going through these ones. I love how you understand how we learn and do little things to help us grasp this program. Is it an engineer thing ? 😂😂 anyways just thought I would show my appreciation. I hope I create something that you will use in the future.

Thanks MM, more power to you. Nearly everything can now be re-designed to be optimised in so many ways and made smart with a companion app. Fusion is your perfect tool. Please stay in touch and remember me when you're getting there.

You've been so diligent in working through these JWS. I wish I had more done of the content I'm planning but if you receive the first issue of my newsletter in the near future I'll be pointing you to some of my favourite resources and other KZbinrs to take you onward from the point where I've taken you up to. I hope you learn a lot more from others and produce designs and products for many customers and I hope you earn plenty from your new skills.

A. For those looking for the mnemonic phrase for joints: "move item one to item two", it is explained at 4:05 . It was originated by Brett Ellis. "The one that you want to move is #1. The one you want to move it TO is #2." B. I kept getting the Geneva wheel stuck upside down. I'm giving up on that now in order to move on.
@ArnoldRowntreeTeachesFusion3604 жыл бұрын
Thanks for putting that in black and white Peter. As for re-orienting things that are upside down for one reason or another, I'll be doing a tutorial on the Align tool soon but in the meantime go to John Hackney's channel and find his tutorial on Align.

@@ArnoldRowntreeTeachesFusion360 The reason I put the Brett Ellis quote in text is so that one can google it. But I don't know if I'm able to force google to web-crawl the comments to include that mnemonic.

@@ArnoldRowntreeTeachesFusion360 I'm hitting a mental road block in my (secret aka proprietary) invention. Do you have any suggestions of whom I could communicate with, especially if I had them sign an NDA, so that I can move on? I don't want people to reverse-engineer what I'm doing.

@@peterlindner3283 Yes! I want to help inventors and provoke people to come up with inventions. So last week I was doing a bit of a survey on local inventors associations and found a really good Yt channel that publishes on just that question. How to protect your idea and get help etc etc. Don't wait for me, I thinking a long way ahead. Go to 'Inventright' on Yt and get your answers. kzbin.infovideos

Thanks for making a great video! I learned a lot from it. I was wondering if there is a reason why you don't ground the base plate? I simply grounded it from the browser menu (which is a lot faster than going through the assembly menu) and everything seems to work just fine.
@ArnoldRowntreeTeachesFusion3603 жыл бұрын
You're welcome SV. Yes it is faster to Ground the first component in the assembly and I'm pretty sure it'll work fine. The reason that I showed the method where you do an as built with the component and the top of the tree is because Brad Tallis of Fusion 360 recommended it in one of his livestreams. You can browse his content here kzbin.info/door/iMwMz3RMbW5mbx0iDcRQ2g I always used that Ground feature in Solidworks and Fusion seems to have it in there, perhaps to make Solidworks users feel at home however I think they have a reason for their recommendation, I'll be on the lookout to see what that is now, I just don't recall.
