This may help to design headlight buckets fitted to complex body curves

For sure. If you have a mesh you can pull verts to it pretty easy but the results could get out of control too.

These curves are what you could use to trim form bodies to get more precise surfaces, of car bodies for example? Is that the idea?

You can use them to trim after you convert the form body to a BREP surface. Of you can use them to snap to and help control your shape. Be careful with Control vs Surface Points though. In most cases if you use this kind of work flow it will be with Surface Points. Also note there is no link between the sketch and form. you are just moving it to the location of your curve.

@@LearnEverythingAboutDesign Cool, thanks, I gotta go read up on the different between control points and surface points. I'm guessing its something to do with control point splines and fit point splines.

If you are in Box Display on a form then you are selecting and editing Control Points. If you are in Smooth Display then you are editing Surface Points. If you use the cage display option (CTRL+2) then you will edit the control points but also see the surface points at the same time. It is a similar analogy to using a Fit Point vs Control Point Spline.

@@LearnEverythingAboutDesign Cool yeah, it was that analogous relationship I was thinking of. Thank you so much for your excellent explanations, you are an amazing resource!
