Great video you explain things very well. I have a CNC plasma table and would like to design metal signs in fusion. If you have any knowledge of that a video would be great.

I followed the video exactly, I think some update or something (maybe a setting I have or don't have) in Feb 21 is having the tool work differently than it is in this video. I had to make another sketch on the surface created by the Flange tool, for the bend tool to work. In case anyone else has an issue with this.

I have a current edition and I'm having the same problem, after doing everything you did, on mine (windows 11), I had to stop and make a drawing, then the bend for every bend I wanted, what different?

The term flange in Fusion 360 is overused

Summary: You use the BEND feature to bend a flat piece of predetermine dimensions. Use the flange feature to create one surface and to keep bending from there, where dimensions and angles might not be known. In effect, you're doing opposite workflow. Bend starts with a flat piece, flange starts with a piece that you create into 3d and then presumably would flatten out so you can cut it.

Dave from the looks of your rotations while working looks like you have the space mouse. How do you like it? Makes me realize I want one.

does not work. As soon as I draw the shape and do the flange all the lines disappear and I cannot do a bend. not good

Great video 👍🏼 So few videos showing bends, mostly people are constructing the metal sheet with flanges. However, these are all bends at an edge. How would I make raised or lowered sections in the middle of a sheet? (Ie no cuts) Here is a short recording of the wall of a toaster oven using just such a feature: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqHZlaiaq5eDatU
