I believe he was referring to his fusion accident in "Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth". I've never played that one myself (nor any other Persona game), so there's no fusion accident footage from it in the video. After a quick check of the wiki, it seems that he got a lv26 DLC-exclusive Persona while trying to get a lv82 Persona.

WishedDarkness actually had it right. I was playing Persona 3 Portable, when trying to fuse to fuse Metatron so I could fuse Orpheus Telos, but I got Orpheus Telos instead. Unfortunately, I had to feed it skill cards.

It happened to me too in Nocturne. I was going for Kali by fusing Girimehkala and one other demon but ended up with a Micheal knowing deathbound and pierce. That was probably the first time I was ever ok with a fusion accident in a SMT game.

i swear to god. In my decades of playing megaten games the ONLY positive fusion Ive had was in OG nocturne when I got a Girimekhala when I was still in lv 20s. The rest of the times, Id see the accidental fusion animation and facepalm in expectation of a crappier demon that the one I was expecting.

I remember my first fusion accident it was in nocturne I can't remember what demons i used but i know they were low level cause i got him pretty early into the game. It was a Shiki-Ouji and it was at a higher level then the demon i was trying to fuse PLUS it had drain fire [SHIKI-OUJI is weak to fire] it also learned brainwash media and maragion it was awesome and it was so strong i kept it all the way to the endgame I will never forget him.

I remember really early game (like level 12) I was getting annoyed and my lack of effective healing demons, so as I tried to make one with media, an accident happened and I got a LV43 Kushinada that knew Mediarama. So I needed a healer, and they basically gave me an early game T A N K

Man, those ARE some of the luckiest fusion accidents I ever saw. I haven't gotten any in any game besides Strange Journey, but I guess I haven't played much lately. xD Though I had gotten back to SMT2, so, who knows. I wonder if Fusion Accidents in the newer games still ignore the level cap like they did in SMT2 (and probably 1?)?

My first Demon Fusion accident got me a lv43 seiryuu( dragon) which I got by fusioning an Angel with a Basta. BUT our allignments clashed(law vs chaos) so I couldn't use him so Dammit!! (ps: I was playing shin megami tensei 2 which heavily favors Law)

You clearly haven't had enough Shin Megami Tensei in your life. XD But seriously - if you've only played SMT 3, it's no wonder. Not only are fusion accidents there a rare occurrence, but they can only happen during full moon. In all other SMT games they have a small chance of occurring any time you perform a fusion. As far as I know, they're easiest to get in Strange Journey, as that game has an item that drastically increases chances of them happening.

Mirage Sessions is a fusion accident I'm not touching with a 10-foot pole. The trailer was just a blatant false advertisement to trick SMT fans into buying it. :( SMT3 was called Nocturne in Japan, but it was renamed to Lucifer's Call in the USA. Localization teams tend to be weird like that. :/

...not exactly. Persona 1-4 aren't directly Shin Megami Temsei games, mainly cause in the Japanese version they were never given the moniker, only in the international releases

Persona games are spin-offs of the "Shin Megami Tensei" series, but their story is completely different and unrelated to the main series. The difference is that the main series revolves around actual demons, while Persona games only have "Personas" - which are physical representations of ones inner self.

Dude, those games were only released in Japanese and they were NEVER officially translated to english. There's only a fan-translated english patch for the emulators for SMT2, while DeviChil (Black, Red & White) never even got that. We only got official english release of DemiKids (Light & Dark) for GBA, which is laughably bad compared to DeviChil.

Nijuni Kuro It’s an in-joke among SMT players. The first trailers for the game showed it as a fairly serious and straightforward meeting of the worlds of Fire Emblem and SMT; when the game was actually released and turned out to be a lighter, bubblier game themed around music and pop idols with Persona gameplay and Fire Emblem characters serving as Shadows/Personas, people joked that a fusion accident had occurred.

For Strange Journey, I recommend crafting the sub-app that completely removes the possibility of fusion accidents. For Persona, I suggest saving before fusions.
