I've seen some madlad playing a deck with 100% ritual monsters with no effects in the main deck, to fusion summon multiple double casted casters, each one using two ritual monsters as materials, boosting their attack and being able to attack directly. Another madlad played an FTK deck abusing the elemental hero electrum to xyz summon Gustav max multiple times.

In Fusion Gate event, I played Time Thief because I can summon Mudragon of the Swamp as another level 4 I can go into if I need it. I also play a tiny Shaddoll engine to play El Shaddoll Winda. It work fine, but I did only did 4 games, the 3rd one I brick with Spell/Trap cards with no follow up. I played mostly against Yubel.

So funnt thing, this event is free polymerization every match, and since there are cards that can have the same name as a fusion material, you can fill the deck with substitute cards and chaos ritual monsters, instant dragon master magia. Or summon the fusion that used ritual monsters and can attack directly, easy cheap deck for easy 3 wins

Every deck I played against: Boomer Sangan/Witch Exodia or starter deck Me: Finally, I can get my Gravekeeper's Supernaturalist without needing to normal summon Spiritualist and get the effect under Necrovalley. I only have 1 copy of Last Warrior that I got from a free guaranteed Glossy SR pack. But I didn't want to play the deck because I thought it would be too boring and obvious. ...That and... Well, I *DID* have a foil Blaze Fenix, Royal Starving Venom, and Royal Electrum, all collecting dust and no copies of Fusion Gate of my own... I *HAD* to loop a *COUPLE* of times! And I got to OTK with a bunch of N/R HEROES and Saturn cards which was hilarious. 1:52 - I don't have things like Dimension Shifter or Advent of Adventure so the few times I play Flu and Wheeze it's pretty much *ALWAYS* in my deck at 3x to protect Robina and Eglen.
