Did you wire the red JST plug directly into the battery?

Yes, It needs to be connected to the battery. 2s or 3s

Hey Max, good info. Would this also work for going brushless with the pro lighting kit on a Trx4m Defender? I'd like to keep full lighting functions when I eventually upgrade mine. Thanks in advance, liked and subbed. Cheers!

@@MysticRiverRC For the trx4m Traxxas has a drop in kit and you can still keep pro lighting kit. Its pretty nice kit and works really well.
