Dude thought by banishing Clear Wing he stop Z-Arc from coming out, but he forgot the Z-Arc's material are generic meaning he only need the type of monster card of the specify type to be used. Z-Arc can be fusion summoned by using a Pendulum, XYZ, Synchro, and Fusion Dragon type monster so the banishing of Clear Wing does nothing.

@@shendelzarescathach1674 It would have been a problem if the player hadn't had any other dragon synchros in their extra deck, since you can't use banished cards as material with Soul of the Supreme Celestial King. However, they did have other dragon synchros in their extra deck, therefore it was just a really funny interaction

@@omermohammad1336 Pendulums have a problem. By design, they require more setup than other mechanics, and they're more vulnerable to disruption. This is a problem for most pendulum decks, and only the ones that are strong enough to compensate end up somewhat viable. I like to think the new Supreme King deck is one of them... but it still has pendulum faults.

@@gyppygirl2021 I don't know man I play pendulum decks myself, some of my decks are bricky, some doesn't do anything meaningful going first and suffer dealing with set backrow (abyssactor), and some hard dies to Droll (Endymion) but most of them have no above average difficulty dealing with disruption, worst thing about most Pendulum decks in MD is the fact they have very weak plays around MaxxC

Just run as much disruption as you can. And backrow destruction. This deck dies pretty easily to that. All else fails, non-destruction removal. Z-ARC can't be destroyed by the opponent's card effect, but he can still be banished... or used as material. (Just make sure it doesn't target.)

For those who don’t get why it worked, it’s bc the game checks for the correct materials after the card resolves. Since his opponent oh so generously banished his clear wing, the game say each of the necessary dragons in the banishment. Therefore Zarc has his effects! Hope that helped!!

@@omermohammad1336 YGO players are known for not reading. It's very much possible that some people might not understand how the trap works - they might think you have to use the dimension dragons as material specifically, when you don't.

Could be interpreted that way, but Zarc's story is a little more complicated than that. He was originally just an ordinary duelist who happened to make his way to the top, and while he didn't deliberately commit violent acts, it happened by accident one day, and the audience called for more... and from there, it spiraled out of control. His tale is actually a very sad one. You can see how he used to be through Yuya, Yuto and Yugo - they're all fragments of his split soul (as is Yuri, who represents Zarc's madness).

Z-ARC's required materials are four Dragon-type monsters, one each of Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Pendulum. You can use _any_ monster that fits those requirements - as a fun example, you could use Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon for either the Xyz or Pendulum material. Astrograph Sorcerer's effect uses cards that specifically have "Fusion Dragon", "Synchro Dragon", "Xyz Dragon", and "Pendulum Dragon" in their names. This means you could use something like Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon as the Pendulum Dragon, even though it isn't a Pendulum monster. It's an important distinction to make - Z-ARC calls for Dragons if you're summoning him with Polymerization or another Fusion effect, Astrograph calls for specific names. That's why the Dimension Dragon Magicians exist (Double Iris, Black Fang, White Wing, Purple Poison), as they aren't Dragons, but are treated as their respective Dimension Dragons for Astrograph's effect. Soul of the Supreme Celestial King (the new Z-ARC trap) uses the materials listed on Z-ARC, so you could use any Fusion/Synchro/Xyz/Pendulum monster that is also a Dragon as material, but the summoned Z-ARC's effects are negated if you don't have a "Fusion Dragon", "Xyz Dragon", "Synchro Dragon" and "Pendulum Dragon" banished. In this instance, the opponent banished Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, so it was banished when the player used Soul of the Supreme Celestial King. Therefore, having to substitute Borreload Savage Dragon for the Synchro material had no downside.

The trap needs the "Fusion, Synchro, xyz and Pendulum Dragon" names to be banished so Zarc's effect won't be negated Zarc himself is genaric

You don't specifically need a Synchro Dragon for the trap (because it uses the materials listed on Z-ARC), just any Dragon monster that's a Synchro. Borreload Savage Dragon is a Dragon monster, and it's also a Synchro, so it fits the bill. Also, Clear Wing was banished by the opponent. It just needs to be banished for the trap to work, it doesn't need to be used as material.
