Really good Burr voice here. The good old days when cars were cars, men were well-dressed men, and women were secretaries! LOL. I'm loving all of these! Thanks!

There were a number of 1958 GM cars in the second season because Libbey-Owens-Ford (which provided glass for GM cars) was one of the co-sponsors at the time (along with Purex Corp., Ltd.). Of course, there were also cars from other manufacturers later in the season when L-O-F 's contract expired...

A nice mix of makes and models. That 58 Bonneville was a gaudy, over-chromed thing, but still kinda fun.

Also it really looked like the 58 Olds.

@@martinknoerr8037 All 1958 GM cars looked somewhat similar because GM was celebrating its 50th anniversary. For my taste, the '58 Pontiac Chieftain and Super Chief (the less expensive models) were the best-looking of them all. The Star Chief and Bonneville went overboard on the chrome...

1:59 2 '58 tin indians in 1 garage? Lucky man. 3:31 let's not over look that '57 De Soto in the background. Also a '57 Dodge. 4:05 right under the highway hi fi record player.5:31 driving past a '55 Nomad and a '55 Cadillac.8:15 pulling up behind a '56 or '57 Lincoln Mark II. Great job kidd!

The '58 Bonneville convertible is a rare car. I knew a guy that had a white and blue one. he won the 1st place trophy at every show he went to.

That's the heater control in the 300D. No HighWay HiFi in '58.

@ronwaters478 no it isn't and yes there was. It goes back to 1956.

If I could go back in time, I am pretty sure it would be the 1950s. Or maybe the 20s. But I'd be nervous living in a world where they didn't even have penicillin. Those cars were stunning. But there were downsides to living back then. Mason's private eye Paul Drake was was played by the actor William Hopper who became quite famous for the role and got a lot of money not just for the show but also doing commercials for cigarettes. He and William Talman, who played the DA on the show, were the same age and both were chain smokers regularly smoking 3-5 packs a day. Talman died in 1968, from lung cancer. He was 53. Hopper died two years later from a stroke aged 55.

@@jec1ny I get to live in '50's thru out the summer. My buddy has a classic car collection, mostly '50's Chryslers. When he wants to bring a second car to a show he gives me a call. Those cars have an amazing ride quality. And unlike today's cars that drive themselves, you have to drive those cars. It's an unbelievable experience and a lotta fun.

Old Perry Mason must have made plenty of money to have driven so many expensive , snazzy cars during season two .

I love the shows that used real license plates. It won't help to run any of the plates though as they were all switched out in early 1963.

Perry Mason had a lot of cars (sometimes two in the same episode). I liked how the show used models from all of the big three.

In "The case of the footloose doll" the 57 Fairlane that pulls into the gas station is a two-door. When it goes off road and over a cliff it had turned into a four-door. lol. (4:58-5:30)
