he was talking about the tournament... that race was for 3rd. the loser of that race gets 3rd. and winner of that race goes to next round where they race again for 1st and 2nd ... Context here was, he wanted to lose and get 3rd so he can watch the final race in spectator mode but he won that race in PB time. and then won the next race as well (without PB) and won the tourny
