She says the lump was removed so it wasn't "a routine biopsy". Surgery is the more correct term: "Surgery: This term encompasses any procedure that involves cutting into the body to remove, repair, or replace tissue."

Bruh it was a ganglion cyst, your normal family doc can treat it on the spot. Specialist finding reasons to waste your money
@nikhilvj78204 ай бұрын
@@AlmightyBeing It sounds like an excisional biopsy, and based on her description of it being pink, there's always concern that it's not something like a ganglion cyst. Also based on the size and symptoms, ganglion cysts might need a little more than a PCP "treating it" on the spot.

Literally not a surgery, it's a biopsy. Testing unknown growths on your skin is quite important when it could be literally cancer even if most growths are benign. Surprised she has no idea what she's talking about when she was in bio med tbh.

That's a punch biopsy, to know what the tissue exactly is. Its not really a surgery, its like a test to know if the tissue is anything concerning at all. They'll check under the microscope.

@@z0phi3lI live in the US, my fiancee had a similar procedure, and the final cost was a $50 copay. The thing about US healthcare isn't that it's always more expensive, it's that everything depends on your insurance and the hospital/doctor you go to, which makes things needlessly complicated and costs super unpredictable unless you really know your insurance plan and what hospitals are in network.
