That certainly looks doable. Thank you. I noticed there was what looked like an offset on the images after they were cut out. Did you create an offset in Canvas? Thanks.

No, the offset was already part of the images I purchased. In hindsight, I really should have used images that didn't have the offset in the tutorial. But I actually wanted to cut these particularly ones as I wasn't able to scan them successfully with the ScanNCut.

HI, Thanks for an easy video to follow. I purchased the enhanced tracing but when I look at the paper size I am only limited to 2 options. 12x12 and 12x24. Is there something else I need for this to work?? Thanks in advance

The 12x12 and 12x24 refer to the mat size not the paper size. You can place smaller sized paper on the mat and the machine will cut it out.

My machine is not recognizing the registration marks. I keep getting an error message. I used glossy photo paper, could this be the problem? I tried everything I know including the trouble shooting thru Brother. I just got the print and cut feature yesterday, I was fine up until I tried to cut it.

It could be the glossy paper. Might be worth just testing on regular printer paper. Also, bear in mind that this only works with the ScanNCut DX.

What is the difference between this and the scan and cut option?

The Scan to Cut Data option is used when you are scanning through an image on your machine. In other words, you have placed an image on a mat and loaded it through the machine. The machine attempts to recognize the image and cut around it. The activation card, on the other hand, works with Canvas Workspace. So instead of scanning an image through the machine, you open up an image in Canvas Workspace. Canvas Workspace will attempt to find the outline of the image/s and then the activation card will provide the registration marks so that they are printed on the paper. This allows the machine to know where to cut when you load the printed paper (with the registration marks) into the machine.

@@AlandaCraftPaperCreations I can’t see how this achieves anything more than scan and cut feature already does. Both options still require you to scan the image through the machine. I get these results for fussy cutting without the print and cut option and think it seems more simple (and free). Am I missing something?
